I remember it says in the hotel guide that as a hotel guest you can call ahead to get put on the list. I've never actually done that. The only time they even asked me about cover I managed to get in by saying we were at the hotel and really would like to see the view and have a few drinks. YMMV.

Also, I thinks there's just no cover if you're there before 10:30.

I think with all the taxes and fees and such the two tickets showed up on the room bill for like $327. The not as good seats from the ordinary website were more.

I hit the Tall, Small, All and the 3 guys at the end of the table had $10 on each. Would have been nice if they tossed a green or two my way. I know i would have.

It made it seem the Craps table was doing both a Fire Bet and the Tall,Small, All bet. Is that correct? Usually the table has either or. Haven't seen one with both.

My wife is itching to go to the MJ One show. Haven't really heard one bad review.

My Bad. I meant the all, not the fire. I think they threw the chips my way because both times I hit it for them I lost my $25 on the pass line (1st time I hit the tall with a 12 and second time I also hit the small with a 3 when bets were off). I also made them plenty more, add they were pressing a bunch of place bets.

As for MJ One, definitely go see it with your lady. It really was excellent. Try to get seats 6-15 rows back.

Sounds like a good trip, I will post ours later from the same time, but since we are smokers we had a room not yet remodeled, that's one thing we did find out is the Delano will be a non smoking property. The EDC crowd was quite the sights to see and especially around noon when they were all rolling in, seldom have I seen more blank expressions and thorazine shuffle walks in my life, to think they called us metalheads and punkers weird in our dress LOL.

I honestly don't think the walk to the casino is an issue at all, it is not any longer than the walk from Mandalay Bay. Now, the walk to the pool is longer because the pool is behind Mandalay. But the walk to the mall is way shorter. In any case, I think everything evens out, as Mandalay Bay is just a big resort with a lot to do. There is no possible way to be close to everything.

I've never noticed nightclub noise. Honestly the noise by Mandalay Bay in general is way less than anything Center Strip.

Okay, OP updated to its final form, and I think I answered all the questions here.

Great report and thanks for answering a bunch of questions. I'll be at MB tomorrow and your answers really helped.

    Not quite done yet!

Delano trip report... Good Food Supplement:

The first day we had a wait for the room so we stopped for lunch at Fleur. We ordered off the Prix menu, which is three courses for like 40 bucks. We enjoyed a giant jug of Sangria, which was very tasty. The salad was solid, and my BLT was off the hook good.

I mean seriously. Look at the tomatoes on that thing, giant mutant juicy tomatoes, and made with a spicy Chipotle mayo. For dessert I had creme brulee. Best I've had, tasted just like fresh toasted marshmallows, and they served it with a bunch of fresh fruit.

That night we went to Rice and Company for sushi. Wasn't sure what to expect at a Luxor sushi place. Anyway the restaurant itself is pretty cool... you can see the giant Luxor atrium from your table. I ordered a chef choice plate with a bonus "sexy lady" roll:

Wow was this good. Very well prepared, everything was super fresh, and the quality was top notch. The tuna just about melt in your mouth. I've eaten a lot of sushi over the years... this place was definitely top 10%.

Saturday I had my healthy citizens shake for breakfast. I was downtown for lunch and at the recommendation of the pit, had the Italian sandwich at the D Grille. It was pretty tasty and mostly free, as I paid with the comps from that morning.

Saturday night was foundation room for dinner. Highlight here was the charcuterie plate. Paired some gouda with prosciutto and aged salami. Fantastic, and it came with a good fig sauce, a jalapeƱo jelly, and an olive spread. For dinner, I had the strip steak. It was nice and rare.

Sunday I mainly gambled. I ate lunch at Mandalay beach, having an light watermelon salad. For dinner we ate sushi at Mizuya. It was passable but nowhere near what rice and company gave us. I don't see why we would come back there.

Monday I hit up citizens for breakfast. For lunch I had the roast turkey sandwich at Mandalay beach. That was really good and a perfect light lunch.

For dinner we tried Border grill. We sat outside near the beach. it was comfortable in the shade. We had the house chips and ordered the guacamole. Excellent guacamole! For the entree I had the beef tacos

These were fantastic. I had been craving tacos since that day (when the Taco Shack told me they didn't have Tacos). These scratched the itch in a big way. I'll definitely be back.

The food porn pics look great! The sushi portions appeared generous.

I like Border Grill. BG turned me on to El Corralejo tequila.

How were the beds in the new rooms, that has always been a plus for us at THE, I have heard reports on chatter that the pillows were rocks.

To me the beds felt the same as THEhotel, but I am definitely not a picky sleeper in Vegas. By the time I'm back to the room I'm so tired I could fall asleep on a bed of rusty nails.

Is the invited guest check in at TheHotel/Delano the same as MB? Have a 3 day comps offer there later this year and I've never stayed at TheHotel just MB.

Good question. AFAIK you can check into any room at either MB or THEhotel at any check in desk. I personally checked in at the MB gold card line.

ND80, an advantage to staying at THEhotel rather than MB was that THEhotel had it's own lobby and (generally) much quicker Invited Guest line. THEhotel/Delano has it's own entrance and valet/taxi stand which is very close to the lobby at THEhotel/Delano.

    Enjoy!

LOL I hear ya on sleeping like a rock, DW is much more picky than I when it comes to that aspect since I am usually 3 sheets to the wind and many a time have crashed on the couch there. Good to hear ya didn't notice a difference though.
