Im coming over for the wsop for 10 nights in early july.
Ive booked a room at Linq for $950usd total however a deal has just come up in my TR account for PH for $1kusd.

Ive stayed at PH 3 times but never Linq. Im just wondering if PH is actually better than Linq now that the linq has been renovated?

Ill be playing alot of poker at aria and bellagio so perhaps PH location is more convenient.

More after opinions on amenities and quality of room etc at linq

    thanks

The hotels are not that much different.

In any event, I would change it up at least once. 10 days in the same place can get really old.

I would stay with the LinQ. The rooms are small but modern and the amenities are great, the Casino is light and airy which looks so much different than the old Imperial Palace. I haven't stayed at the LinQ yet, (stayed many times at IP, but i never liked the IP casino), but i love the new LinQ casino and play there and Cromwell often.
Location wise it's not bad if you're playing poker at Bellagio/Aria.
Just cross the Strip at LinQ and cross the bridge over to Bellagio. Then when you're finished playing poker at Bellagio use the Tram to City Center.

Linq is good. As @waverunner said, the rooms are small, but we stayed 3 to a room and were fine. The rooms have a smart use of space. The casino itself is lively. And access to The Promendade is a plus. The location is excellent and access to Bellagio and Aria were super easy. And we were at one or the other or both almost every day.

I wrote a Linq review recently. Basically, it was me in a twin Queen room. Yes, the room is small but not horrible at all. If you have ever stayed at the W in NYC then you know too small! Anyway, the room is small but fine. The bathroom was fine too. The only thing I will say is that there is very little drawer and closet space, basically a small closet with a drape in front and 2 small drawers. It was me alone and I was okay. I do like a nicer room, like Wynncore, but I had to budget it and Linq was great for that. My only complaint is that the in wall AC is loud and kept turning on and off. In my case I had to get up early but if I didn't I would wear ear plugs. I ended up turning off the AC at night but that wouldn't work in the summer. Otherwise the room and hotel were great.

    Use the extra elevators!

We stayed at the Linq for the first time in November and was really impressed with their redo. PH is good too, but the pools are a draw for us and Linq is hands down the nicer venue. We always move around on our 10 day adventures, just wonder what it would be like tied to one place for that long. On the other hand, the WSOP is probably your main focus---- Hope all goes great for you.

I absolutely DESPISE changing rooms, but for a 10 day trip, I'd do a room change. PH rooms will be dependent on room type also.

I'm willing to bet that you could score a Bally's Jubliee room for less than both of those and be in a bigger, more comfortable, and very clean room. Bally's casino isn't great, but the room is stellar and the casino is soooo close to Paris and pH that I'd highly recommend looking into it.

I'm genuinely curious and gotta ask....what's with the capital "Q" in Linq? Usually people just type "Linq" or "linq", and CET officially stylizes it as "LINQ". But where does "LinQ" come from?

Wasn't that some holdover from when the Linq was The Quad and LinQ was the promenade area?

    thanks for the responses guys
ive stayed at ballys before and to be honest didnt like it at all. the food options suck and the pillows were really uncomfortable. I got a deal last trip and it cost me $200 for 7 days so i stayed there but wont go back.

So i changed my booking slightly. PH for the last 5 days but now need to find a new hotel for the first 5. I dont want to spend more than $600 incl all fees for 5 days. Monte Carlo seems decent for $520.....But not sure

    Im throwing up between:

    MC
    Linq
    Excalibur
    Luxor
    Harrahs

A couple of reasons. If i say "LINQ", then some people may complain that i was SHOUTING!!!
If i type "Linq", people might not be familiar with the hotel and ask what the heck is "Linq or Ling"?
I have been going to Vegas since the late 70's, sometimes we tend to name a hotel in here by shortening it or by other names...LOL. Just a habit. Like calling Planet Hollywood "PHO", like we used to call Westward Ho "The Ho", or instead of typing Tropicana i'll type "The Trop", etc. etc.
I try to covey a dry sense of humor, but in here it's hard to type a "Dri sence of huma...LOL (Lots of laughs or Laughing out Loud, or Lots of Love, etc etc etc................................x112)

OK, I have stayed at all of your choices in recent years(tho a while since MC).
Take Linq & PH. PH has larger rooms; LINQ rooms are nice but cozy--especially the bath built for one. (I am not kidding; only if 1 is in the shower can 2 be in there at the same time)
The other 4 properties are not better, IMO (unless you can get Harrahs newly renovated rooms--but they seem to be being stingy with those; do not know what is up with that; and no safes yet so out for me). My Luxor room last year had no deadbolt--never again. UNLESS you want a nice pool, then MC wins.

I have stayed at all of the CET properties. Staying this June at the Linq again because we are comp'd the best and I love the pool staff. 8 nights for zero...and we love the location..since we don't do Vegas to stay in the room, priorities for us are updated bathroom, comfortable bed and location. The Linq ticks all the boxes... VP, Mirage, Caesars, Cromwell, Paris, PHO, Bellagio, Cosmo all within an easy walking distance. We love the TAG bar and since most Diamond and 7* s don't stay here we get really GREAT service.

I would say go with the Linq. But whatever you chose have FUN!

I assume you have enough play to get 10 nights at CET. If you do, just call in and have them book over the phone. You are right, the system will not let you be in two hotels at the same time (check in day, check out day are the same). You can actually book the 4 nights online, then call and have them add the night that looks like a double booking.

Of course, if you do Monte Carlo, then no problem since that is MGM.
