    Yes, yes,

I know these two hotels are not in the same league! I've always wanted to stay at Caesars Palace just one! I signed in just now and noticed the Julius, Augustus, and Octavious Towers came up as a comp! They weren't available last week so I was going to comp it at Linq.

I know Caesars is more laid back and maybe doesn't have the party atmosphere Linq has, but, what would YOU do?? :) Caesars or Linq?

No brainer, Caesars is a much better overall property. Book the Augustus tower.

Caesars....especially if you don't typically see the nicer towers comped, and you say you've always wanted to stay there.

Like DJ Ran said, a no brainer...

So what is the question. You always wanted to stay there and can get good rooms. Easy walk to the Linq if you want that vibe........Have fun at Caesars................Rick

Would only stay at the linq if you get a suite or the penthouse. Standard rooms are basic compared to Caesars.

Well, I guess my real question is which tower...? All of them are offering a comp for 3 nights in October. I know the Augustus is close to the strip, the Julius is new and updated, and Octavius is their crown jewel, correct?

I'm leaning Augustus. Casears is just big hahaha.

We like the Augustus nice big rooms and not that bad of a walk to the casino. Regular rooms in the Julius tower are a bit smaller and Octavius is a bit more of a walk....but if you take the pool area to walk around it isn't too bad. Just ask for a higher floor.......Rick

These are my two favourite hotels and I'm still debating which of the two I'll be staying at in January. My buddies can usually get comp'd at Linq so I'll probably do that. I never gamble at Caesars, even when I stay there. All my money is spent at Flamingo/Linq/Harrahs and Cromwell with a little dash of Planet Hollywood. Caesars vibe just isn't for me. But the rooms and views are hard to pass up

The rooms at Caesars Augustus ARE the best and not that far from the Linq. Yes, maybe a 10 minute walk, but when you are in the room you will know the difference. It doesn't matter where you're gaming, tier points and comps all add up the same.

I would take Caesars and walk over to the Linq area. (LOL, probably faster than waiting for the elevator at peak times at the Linq if they really have not done anything to the elevators since the IP era!)

Last month stayed at the linq this month stayed at caesars. Caesars is a no brainer. This past trip i stayed in the forum towers and a suite comped. even the forum tower rooms are not that bad would compare them to a basic bellagio room with older more worn decor.

Caesars all the way. The casino isn't my fave either but once you settle in, it can be a comfortable place to play. Not fun, but comfortable. It would take a lot more than what the Linq has to offer to make me pass up a better room for a lively casino, especially when there is no penalty for gambling in other casinos in the chain.

Though Augustus and Octavius are the newer towers, they are also the furthest from LINQ if you spend much time over there. Caesars is one big ass place.

Actually we may have to agree to disagree on that. :) Augustus was quite convenient to the CET row across the street. Just out the main entrance, cut across the area with the Absinthe tent and Serendipity and such, and cross the bridge. I hope you don't mind stairs, cuz it seems like that particular UP escalator is out of order 9 times out of 8! :( The sky bridge will deposit you right about at the Flamingo/Cromwell walkway and it's a quick walk either on the street or via Flamingo and M'ville to the Linq.

Yea, 6 of one, half dozen of the other. Just thinking the walk from Augustus up to the front, past the checkin and then finally outside is a bit... but it might all be about the same. he way you mentioned, or down and cross at street level at Margaritaville.

Forum would be the closest to the Linq but it is now one of the oldest towers if you go by date of last full reservation. But is it essential to go to the Linq? And even if it is, it's not a chore to go from Augustus to the Linq. It would be easy to not only walk there but to hit the Cromwell and Flamingo on the way. I have a much higher opinion of what they did at the Cromwell compared to the Linq Casino.

I was expecting octavius tower room to be significantly nicer than augustus ... but it was pretty much the same thing, at least when you compare regular 1 king or 2 queen rooms
Now that I have stayed at all of the towers, including the newly renovated Julius, I will always opt for Augustus for the combination of amenities and convenience

Unless if I can stay in any of the Nobu suites

Try it--Octavius & Augustus are basically the same.
Personally we choose LINQ now--I am just over Caesar's size.
BUT if I had not tried CP numerous times, CP comped is a no brainer.
