I've been checking the Total Rewards site every day (just like I do for SW) to see if there's any price drop. Anyway, now I am getting a Linq room comped. I got a Deluxe room 2 queens. I previously had an Indigo classic 2 queens room for $15. The savings isn't much, but I believe from the various posts on the board, that the Linq room is better. So I switched. Hopefully I made the right decision.

I use to stay at the Linq when it was the Imperial Palace and before it was purchased by Harrah's. It was home base for years before I started staying downtown. I know a lot of people hated it and called it a dump, but I was treated well there. I always stayed in a deluxe room. Are these the same rooms just with new paint, beds carpeting, etc.? I remember my buddy once got a Capri room. Those were horrible. They were like near the garage or something.

According to the TR website, the room now has a safe. Can anyone confirm? How big is it? Big enough for a small laptop? Back when I use to go to the IP, they didn't have safes and I had to put my extra cash in a lock box near the cage. They had 3 or 4 private stalls with wooden swinging doors that you would enter. You would ring a bell and a cashier would come. You gave them your lockbox key and they would pull your box out for you and you did whatever you needed to do.

I never stayed at IP, but the rooms have been completely redone compared to pics I saw of the IP rooms. I would think that if you didn't have a problem with IP, you'll certainly enjoy the Linq. Rooms are nicer than Indigo tower, though a bit smaller.

The rooms at Linq do indeed have a safe. I easily stored my surface pro 3 in there, which is the equivalent of about a 12" laptop. I would think you would be good with up to a 13" laptop, possibly even 15".

I think the LINQ is actually a really nice little hotel in terms of value for money. Don't get me wrong I like high end hotels but I stayed there in March for my Stag (long trip from the UK) and the rooms are actually really well equipped, clean, modern and the only challenge can be getting a lift as its so damn busy.

I used to love Imperial Palace, we (IP and me) go back a long ways. And yes, i have stayed in the Capri rooms. I also stayed at Imperial Palace just before they changed it to the Quad.
I almost stayed at the LinQ twice but decided on comped rooms at Bally's and PHO instead. But i love the Casino, and i love the whole LinQ complex.
I'll be right next to the LinQ in November since i'm staying at Flamingo. So the LinQ will get plenty of my time.

Just stayed at the Linq for two nights in Sept. The place is brand new and you can't tell it was the IP!! The room is new everything from the shower to the walls. The AC will freeze you out!! Trust me I stayed at the IP on my first few visits to Vegas 20 years ago!!

I'm staying there for two days next month. I stayed there several times back when it was the IP and liked it just fine so I figured I'd be okay with the renovated version. Even so, it's still nice to hear the good things people have been saying about the new version. I'm a little bummed that apparently the Elevators of the Damned aren't much better than during the IP days though.
