    My Trip Report

    Backround:
My brother and I have had this planned for a while. He would be flying over from London on 8/21 and staying at the Mandarin O for 4 nights before heading on a road trip with his new GF. I would be joining them on 8/22 and staying at the Linq for 2 nights then moving downtown to the Golden Gate for 2 nights.

I usually stay at the GG for all of my trips but because this would be my brother Gfs first visit to LV I wanted to show them/her around the strip for a couple of days before heading DT.

    Day 1:
Best travel day I have ever had to LV. I hopped in an Uber at 6am in Chevy Chase, MD was through security and at my gate by 7am for my 8.25am flight from DCA direct. Managed to get an upgrade to BC for an extra $200 and we left on time with a half empty plane. Im pretty sure I managed to drink at least $120 worth of booze so the upgrade was well worth it for me. I went with Maggie and a movie called ‘71 for my in flight entertainment. Touchdown in LV 20 mins early. Driver was waiting and I was at the Linq 30 mins after the plane landed. So far so good.

I decided to wait until after 12pm to check in to avoid the $30 early check in charge. 45 mins of green chip BJ put me up about $75 I then checked in and headed to my room. The rooms at the Linq are nice and new, I’ll say that. About the size of a standard hotel room in New York. Which is small for Vegas I guess. Grabbed a quick shower and headed over to Milos to meet M - little bro and S - little bros GF.

Milos was good. The $25 lunch tasting menu is a really good value in a place like that. I liked all of the staff and even though our bill should have been under $100 we managed to run it up some with a few bottles of wine. We had the lamb chops, lobster pasta and the fish {skate I think}. All where good and I would highly recommend this place.

From there we head over to PH to play some roulette and BJ. M finished this session up and I was even after 2.5 hours of play. We both headed back to our rooms for naps and agreed to meet later for dinner at Yardbird in the V.

Our reservations for dinner were at 9pm. We were promptly seated and all decided to split the food. We tried the kale salad, brisket biscuit, ribs and fried chicken with waffles. Solid food especially the spiced watermelon that came with the chicken. I love simple things done right. M and S decided to call it a night and I headed back to the Linq to play some BJ. Once again about even after a few hours of green chip play. Starting to see a pattern here???? I called it a night at about 1am.

Sorry for the lack of pictures. I really don’t take any unless my GF is on a trip with me.

    Day 1 thoughts,

Im 35 and I felt OLD at the Linq. Lots and lots of young people just walking around wearing little or next to nothing. Which is fine with and I’m all for, but god damm it made me want to do some sit ups.

The lines for day clubs are amazing. I don’t believe that they can be that good. No way. I asked a kid how long he had be standing in line and he told me 2 hours. He wasn’t even close to the front.

CET charging $2 extra for ‘ top shelf booze ‘ is a joke. I’m not saying it ruined my trip or anything but I was a little surprised to hear this shit.

More to come. Sorry if it’s a little boring.

The Linq is trying to capture the younger crowd too poor for cosmo. That's why we're moving there today! Lol

Was this BJ game at $25 3 to 2? People have asked about the Linq lately in the casino gaming section.

Sorry for the delay. Booked Vegas back to back with the US Open. Just back from NYC.

    Day 2:

I woke early and decided to have a wonder around the strip as it had been a while since i had been there. Not really anything that new. Saw a few walks of shame, which is always nice to see.

We had made a res for Ballys sterling brunch at 1145am and i had some time to kill so decided to hit up PH for some morning BJ. I ended up sitting with a guy who apparently was a male model and his BFF. Now, when i say BFF this guy was sitting behind him and doing his best to talk his buddy up to the table a dealer. Wierd right? Bascially how they had been clubbing all night and nothing but fat h**s and nasty b*****s had been hitting on them all night. The BFF was about 250lbs and looked like his face had been raped by a alaskan king crab. The whole scene was a little strange so after about 2 hours I finished up around $200 and headed over to Ballys.

Sterling brunch was a first for me and I would recommend it. Really good spread and solid bubbly.

After brunch M and S headed off to go hat shopping {WTF?!?} and decided to head on down to Ling and mix it up with some sports bets, BJ and roulette. This went on until around midnight when i hit the sack. About even i think.

    Next up DOWNTOWN!!!!!!!!!!

    Day 3:

Woke early like a kid on xmas day and packed my shit up. Jumped in a cab at about 10am and head over to the Westgate to sign up for the Super contest {theres $1500 I'll never see again}. From there i headed DT and was about to check into my suite early at no additiona charge {F**k you CET, ballbags}.

M and S would be meeting later that day so i had some time to kill by myself. Not a problem. Headed straight over to the pool at the DT Grand. Flashed my room key and grabbed a seat by the pool. Made some baseball pics {F**k you very much nationals}. I spent about 3 hours at the pool. It was a little overcast and pretty empty. Not a problem for me.

I met with M and S at Le Thai for lunch and they were both impressed. Spare rib fired rice w/ fried egg, green curry and some noodle dish. Some of the best green curry i've had at this place. Afterwards {It was kinda late for lunch} we headed down to my fav bar in LV Oak & Ivy for coctails. This place is located in the container park. All i remember is that we arrived at about 4pm and left at about 9pm. We eached consumed about 7-10 coctails each. Good times. From there me and M {S when to my room to pass out} spent the rest of the night playing BJ at the Golden Gate. Probably a good 4 hours at the green chip level. M end up about $300 playing reds {again WTF?} and i finished up about $200.

M went and woke up S and then we said our goodbyes as they were heading off on a road trip through Cali the next day. Of course me being the dumb f**k that i am heads back to the GG and drop $900 playing drunk as shit BJ. FML.

I love DT. Especially at night. For the most part just regular people having fun.
