I have found that it is a really good source of information when looking for live bands in casino lounges with no charge to get in. It shows dates with names of the bands in some of the casinos!

    Thanks for posting!

It seems as though there were a lot more live lounge acts in the 1990s but today the shift has been toward clubs and DJs. I plan on checking out the Jazz band at the Palms on Monday night, and perhaps one or two other acts. Seeing Love as well this trip.

I would add to this list Peter Monroy Band in the Zebra Bar at the Palazzo. I saw them when they played at the Venetion in LaScena Lounge. Great voice and fun rock cover band.

I saw something the other day about Taylor Hicks (American Idol) taking up residency at the Indigo Room at Bally's for a few months. Also, Big Elvis is moving from Bill's to Harrah's.

Not all of those are free or lounges, but who goes to Coyote Ugly anyway?

I second this. Also saw his band play in LaScena lounge. Excellent tune that night.

Another spectacular act is Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns. They can be seen every Monday night in The Lounge at The Palms for a $10 cover charge and these musicians are just phenomenal - the show is always different because it is one big jam session with musicians and performers from all of the production shows around town getting together to play.

Here is more information for anyone interested:

I don't follow Big Elvis but that link tells you everything you need to know about where he is playing at Harrah's including the days and times.

My wife and I always checked them out at least once on the last couple trips. Lots of fun (with a little cheese at times) but the licks were definitely hot.
