We have to go from Bally's to South Point. It will be around 11 am on a Thursday morning. Cab is going to be pretty high for that trip so considering renting a limo for 1 hour. I know I can arrange that ahead of time...but has anyone ever walked out of their hotel and hired a limo on the spot instead of ahead of time? From the hourly rates I have seen it won't cost that much more than a cab. Just wondering if limos hang out at the door waiting for a fare like the cabbies do. In all my trips I never really noticed. If there were limos at the hotel I wouldn't know if they had been waiting for someone or not.

Robert, do you know of hotels where there are typically a few limos waiting for hire?

I've seen them lined up after concerts at MGM Grand, etc. to snatch people who don't want to wait in the huge taxi lines that form but obviously that's different.

I'm interested in wandering out of a hotel on the spur of the moment some night and just doing a loop of the strip. It's not that it would be inconvenient to schedule a pickup, just wondering...

I've gotten limos outside of Caesars, the MGM, and Harrahs. Just approach them and ask. As far as price is concerned I've spent as little as $40, and as much as 100 (Hummer Super Stretch from MGM to The Golden Nugget) so it all kind of depends. Also you may find the availability of limos for immediate hire to be higher during the weekends.

    limo

Almost all of the hotels do except places like Tropicana, Excalibur, flamingo, and Ballys. The biggest thing is to ask at the door when you go in. Tell them you might need a limo in 2 or 3 hours, and im sure any place can help you out. it depends on what casino and what night also. mon, tues and wed nights not as many limos work, Thursday most are around the airport, fri and sat they are everywhere and sunday is the big odd day.
