I believe that Nevada has reciprocal medical with some states now, though I don't think Nevada has a lot of dispensarys.

Curious to see how it affects gambling revenue if it passes, if that can be quantified ?

Suspect it will be a good time to own a fast food joint on the Strip if it passes though........or the deep fried Oreo place :licklips:

They put these propositions on the ballot to get young voters to turn out. nothing more. I could get into who the youth usually votes for but dont want to get political.

When would this go into effect if passed?

If it passes in November I would venture to guess that maybe Jan 1, 2017, maybe 2018. It seems that a lot of people are prepping for it and since there is already medical, maybe the earlier date?

They do. Especially with California and some places are "catering" to out of state tourists with a MMJ card. I read an article (I think in the LV Sun) about the Canni-Bus that brings people from CA to Vegas with a stop at a dispensary to get them set up with temporary NV access.

As far as this passing, I'm still not sure it will happen. It depends on the demographics of who turns out to vote in November. And even then, the legislation needs to be created and implemented. I'd guess 2018, but I'm a pessimist. I know that a number of businesses are itching to make this happen to get their pile of money. :) I'm in WA state and it's been a big money maker to have recreational access.

Hope not. Don't have a moral issue, just hate how it smells. We're finally getting the cigarettes and cigars to a manageable level and now we get pot smoke? ick.

You know, I never thought of that. However, I'm not entirely certain how this stuff works...but would weed be managed that way as well (more in line with alcohol)? Could you actually sit at the blackjack table and smoke? Didn't Vincent Vega & Jules Winnfield go over this earlier?

I'm sure there will be no public consumption like here in Colorado, but I could see private cannabis clubs springing up and there is also vaping the oil which doesn't produce much smell and tons of edibles.

It'll be interesting to see what happens in November. Las Vegas is gearing up for it big time. New dispensaries open weekly and more and more cultivation facilities are being built. Medical has grown by leaps and bounds in the last year (easier to obtain, less taboo, etc). Which is in part the cause for the growth, but I do feel they're preparing for recreational to pass. Many I know that support the legalization of recreational use, myself included, are against the legislation on the ballot as it's written. There are too many questions about metabolite duis, ability to grow, etc.

With such things as those "Dr. Reefer" advertisements, it's obvious that many are abusing the "medical" situation. LOL, if this passes will casinos comp it? :) :) :)

:haha: Remember the ladies with the trays of cigarettes that used to roam the casinos?

    Uh, not really.

However, I do remember, the very first time I played blackjack, that the dealer had a little flip-top box and would offer them.

Caesars still has one, they carry light-up deely-boppers too. Or maybe she wears the deely-boppers, it gets a little fuzzy sometimes. :drunk:
