We will be staying at the Fremont on our October trip. This is our first time staying there, although we have stayed at other downtown properties.

My question is, we'll be arriving at the hotel somewhere around 10:00pm (on a Wednesday). Will the rooms be pretty picked over by this time? I'd really like a quiet, non-smoking room away from the canopy. Those that have stayed at the Fremont, how accomodating are they? Do you think they will be able to provide a nice quiet room that late in the evening?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

You shouldn't have any trouble on a Wednesday night... but I'd call them Wednesday morning before you leave and let them know your preferences, when you expect to be there and that you're on your way.
I always go mid-week, and I usually stay there. Never had any problems getting a quiet (albeit, smoking) room...and a couple of my trips got me in after 8 PM.

Seems like forever from now, but the flights are booked, so it counts!

I'd call them today and have them note your preferences on your reservation. They never guarantee preferences, but it doesn't hurt to have them noted and in the system.

Then as Topcard suggested, I would also call the morning of your trip.

yes, doesn't hurt to note your preferences with fremont before you get there.

Be advised, there is a vacations hawaii charter arriving wednesdays at 7:40 pm. they will probably arrive at the downtown hotels (cal, mss, fremont) between 8:30 and 9:30pm or later. The flight probably contains over 200 vegas guests (not all at the fremont though) so you may have a limited selection by the time you arrive at 10, not to mention an influx of hotel guests at one time. I am not sure, it is possible that they block off certain rooms or floors for the charter groups (helps with maid service, room logistics - bag pull or bag drop offs, etc.) but they have moved guests to other rooms on other floors to accomodate them.

because it is almost a daily operation they should have a separate line for charter guests and regular hotel guests so you shouldn't be too inconvenienced by the charter (wait in line).

The only Wednesday you might have trouble is Oct 9. The Boyds are sold out from the 10th for the UH vs UNLV game that weekend and have blocks of rooms held back.

Any other Wednesday will be fine.
