    Trips to Las Vegas:
When I was traveling to Vegas on LuxBus America and watching the desert landscape I was thinking how cool it would be to fly around and explore the desert mountains.

On the way back from Vegas as we were passing Jean, NV I saw a glider being towed by a small plane.

As it turns out there is a Soaring Club that operates out of Jean Airport, and glider lessons may be available.

I've always wanted to learn to fly and I always thought that gliding or soaring would be a great way to start (that's how they start the cadets in the Air Force Academy).

So I could drive to Jean, NV stay overnight, have a lesson, then proceed on to Vegas - Win, Win. Of course I would have to make many such trips until I qualify for a license. Lessons can start at age 14 for gliders, so I know i'm over-qualified for at least one requirement.

    Just a thought.
