    Hi all,

I have been a longtime reader here at the forums and decided to create an account as I am seeking some advice:

This June 21-28 a group of us 9 guys will be making the trip to Vegas, primarily to enjoy the World cup since we were there in 2010 for it (and just an excuse to go :rolleyes2:) I am in charge of room logistics and have a pretty limited budget, as not all of the guys are quite finished with college yet...

The budget for the group is roughly $350 a person when it's all said and done. I am currently in talks with renting someones timeshare at the Elara (2 br suite) for total of $2500 for the week. In terms of quality of room/location I think it will be hard to beat. However, I am getting nervous after reading what seems to be the pretty intense security at the hotel, as well as the whole wristbands ordeal (will they give us 9?) We aren't excessively rowdy or anything, but at the end of the day we are a group of 9 25 year old 'men'.

I'm not asking so you guys can do the work for me, as I have done pretty extensive research - but wanted to ask if you had any suggestions that may meet our criteria that I am missing? We prefer to stay central strip (between Mirage and Monte without staying at Monte). One big room would be ideal, but would definitely consider two adjoined rooms with 2 queen beds per. This will be my 4th trip to Vegas so I am not a complete newbie.

    All suggestions are welcomed.

    Thank you!

    Miles

Sorry, did you say you want to put 9 people into 1 room? Even with a 2 bedroom suite the maximum number of beds would be 4. The $350 is that for a room for a week per person? Personally, I think you'd be really unhappy having 9 guys in one room but if the $350 budget per person is for the whole week you're going to have a real hard time. It appears to be a pretty expensive time that you've chosen. Even the Quad is coming up as $1,047 per room including taxes and resort fee and that's just for a classic room with 2 double beds but you could get 3 rooms there for $3,141.

    Good luck!

    Why don't you try craigslist?

Try this address https://lasvegas.craigslist.org/vac/ and see what you cand get on the private market. Sounds like a house, apartment, or timeshare might fill the bill for your party.

    Good Luck!

    I'm showing Flamingo at $882 + taxes(resort fee included).

Seems like sharing beds wasn't an issue for you at Elara, so 3 people per room fits within your budget. Harrahs and Quad may also, I think Flamingo is the best of those 3 with the best pool if you want to enjoy that.

Not really sure about ajoining rooms. I haven't ever had issues with getting same floor though if that is acceptable. Going with rooms like this also lets you mix and match if you are able. If 4 people are really on a budget they can split a room and 5 others might be able to spend more for their own bed for example.

I'd just stick with a couple cheap rooms at say flamingo or Harrahs. 2, 3, 4 rooms. Each with a washroom. Plus gives you a break from each other if need be and everyone gets their own bed or cot and no hassles with security.

Well a 2 br suite has 2 kings and 2 queen pullouts, already seating 8 comfortable at a minimum. I think 9 would be no problem. Along with two full bathrooms, full kitchen, laundry, living/dining area.

Flamingo would be possible due to prime location and very affordable. Has anyone here had back experiences with big groups at Elara?

Budget is part of the equation so here's the Monte counter. The Pub is right there and they will most definitely have the WC on. Looked on MLife and Monte Carlo is $93/night or $651 per room before taxes and resort fees. You can get 2 queens in each room and get 3 or 4 of those.

Sorry, jamming 9 guys in 2 rooms and for a week is not something I would do. You're men who may meet women who may want to hook up who may be willing to go back to your room. More beds is better than less personally.

We called 3 days in advance and got our 5 rooms connected last time we stayed there. Just had to give them the confirmation numbers. It has the tram that runs along that side also.
