Las Vegas Super Bowl Trip 2009 Vegas Club

on sale from Southwest. 159 bucks roundtrip non-stop. Hotel at Vegas Club.
Total out the door, air and hotel, 221. I was very happy with that price. Left
Cleveland at 920 AM Sat morning Jan. 31st. First time flying with Southwest in over 10 years.
Had Boarding Pass A43. Snagged a window seat right in the first row!!! Nobody in front, lots
of legroom.

I saw the stewardness go over to the row across from me and ask the aisle and middle seated people
to move. They did. The reason, a really big guy taking up two seats! They gave each of the displaced people a 50 dollar voucher for future flights.

I took the shuttle downtown, had the most entertaining female driver, Gabriella. She was funny!
And informative! I tipped even though I had only a small carry on bag. Finally arrived downtown at Vegas Club! North Tower room, King bed. Nice for the price! Hooked up with my buddy Arnie, and his buddies Dave and Pat, who I also know. Arnie was in town with 13 friends and family, of which I knew 5. Dave, a seemingly very addicted gambler, was seated hammering the Video BJ machine. You could hardly tear him away from there! I played some there, left them and placed my Super Bowl bets, Pittsburgh and Over.
And walked around downtown putting a few points on each of my cards. I played at Binion's, Fitzgeralds,
EL Cortez, Vegas Club. I hooked back up with my buddies and we ended up eating at Binion's snack bar.
These are guys that mostly gamble and drink. Not much interest in food for them! I had a Binion Burger.

I had actually been winning small at almost every casino. Not ready to do any big gambling tonight. I did paly some later at Main St.Station and 4 Queens. Video Poker. I had the Prime Rib Special at the California.
As usual, great. Played some BlackJack and walked away just over 100 bucks up. Finally hit the sack.

Up early Super Bowl Sunday! Met up with the boys for breakfast buffet at Plaza. Okay.
Played some at Main St Station, got some Ice Cream from Lapperts and watched the first half of
the game in my room. Bruce Springsteen was the Super Bowl halftime entertainment, and as an avid Bruce fan, I totally enjoyed it. Bruce Rocks! Everyone is a winner with Bruce!

Down to Vegas Club after halftime to watch the second half with Arnie's gang. Pretty sure I was going to lose the game and the Over, but a late flurry of scoring put me Over! Yay! In fact I had bet more here in Vegas on the over than the game. Afterwards, more VP, and dinnier for one at the California Redwood Grill and Bar. The Porterhouse off the menu special. It was awesome! A new must do!

Stayed up late gambling, hit 4 Kings at the the 4 Queens at the dollar level for 250 Bucks! Of course dollars are too rich for my bankroll, so I only did that briefly. Met up with a slightly drunk Arnie who wanted to play craps. He was too drunk to bet, but he gave me his money to play for him. He gave me 400 bucks, I put in 200 and playd 15 bucks on the passline taking odds and come bets with odds. We were up briefly, but a couple of seven outs wiped us out, and we left losing about 76 bucks between our pooled money.

I stayed up late playing VP at the 4 queens. Finally went to bed about 330AM. Up early Monday,
breakfast was Bread Pudding at the Golden Nugget. Played some VP at Plaza, some video BJ at Vegas Club , finally up to the room to check out. Time to go. A last meal at Magnolia's Coffee Shop in
the 4 Queens after one last losing VP session.

Had a great time in the 2 days I was there. Of course winning helped, but it was fun hanging out with my friends, and even bopping around by myself. A very good trip. Enjoyable.
