I'm going to Las Vegas in September with my boyfriend. We would like to know how much the average drink is - pint of beer / glass of wine etc in a nightclub compared to a bar... And how much entry fees into nightclubs generally cost.

What is Vegas drinking culture like and do they have famous djs that perform etc.

All help and advice welcome x

Rachel, drinks prices varies from place to place, you will probably pay about $10-12 in clubs for a bottle or pint of beer, and a bit less in the casino bars. I'm not sure about wine as i stay away from that stuff!

Entry fees again vary depending on where you go, don't be suprised if they charge your boyfriend more for entry than they charge you, and you may even get in free. It can be anything from $20 to $100 each, and if you are there during labor day weekend (3rd Sept i think) it may be more.

As for the drinking culture, compared to the UK it is a lot more laid back. You are generally allowed to drink on the street and whilst you walk down the strip and through the casinos (i think it is ACTUALLY illegal but they just tolerate it and everyone does it). One thing that is different from the UK is you won't be able to just go in a nightclub and sit at a table, you will have to pay and its quite expensive. Not a problem for me as i like propping up the bar. I'm not sure about famous DJ's as i'm not really into that sort of thing but i'm sure other people on here can give you advice on that. Have a great trip, if it's your first time visiting Vegas you will be blown away.

Re: DJs, just to use Labor Day Weekend as an example, I believe that between Friday and Monday XS has Tiesto, Steve Angello, David Guetta, and Deadmau5. I'm sure tickets for these events are quite pricey.

It's not that you can't get a table, it's just that is very expensive. Most clubs require "bottle service" to reserve a table. Prices for that range upwards of $200-300 per depending on the club.
