I am not knocking your idea Grid, but Chicago Brewing inside 4Q has a very good Chicago style deep dish.

Ok, spent the last week of February downtown stayed at the GN. Spent time playing 21 up and down Fremont but I gotta tell ya spent far more time at the Las Vegas Club than any other. Good rules all the staff were very friendly and the all day lady dealers were especially so and seemed so appreciative of the business. And I kinda enjoyed the laid back atmosphere in contrast to the Golden Gate.

Same here. I would open a place like the old days. Loose coin slots, change girls, GOOD $5 buffets, etc. I bet it would make MOUNTAINS of money.

That's what I always hoped would happen with the Pioneer property.

I liked both GG and LVC in the past. But the last couple of visits to GG were disappointing. They got rid of most of the stuff that made is special, the deli, the piano, the low limit tables. Trying to compete for the hipster crowd, I guess. I don't think they can do that, but it's their option to try, I suppose. Will see if I agree with you on the LVC next trip, whenever that opportunity may come along. Sounds encouraging.

A $5 buffet in this day and age would be bordering on inedible.

It would do wonders if they just cleaned the place up a bit. We spent a decent amount of time here last trip because of the decent blackjack and the half dressed dealers. The place is just plain filthy disgusting. Most normal people wouldn't put up with the bathroom conditions. Me? I'm a sucker for scantily clad female dealers who pay 3/2 on blackjacks.

But will they do the splits after I double? I'm definitely hitting this game next trip.

Is this why the carpet is so sticky there?

Dropped in here for some blackjack last Thursday before the sweet 16 games started and had a good time. All three BJ dealers were great, as was the cocktail waitress. The roulette dealer I spotted almost wanted me to go play that (and bet on 36...DD).

You might suggest that they bring back the older full pay Video Poker that they had just 2 years ago, I spent quite a bit of time in there when there was a reason to. Now a days the ElCortez, Four Queens and MSS get most all of my play although I do stop in at the Plaza now that they have some decent Video Poker.
Also...what is the Plaza parking ramp situation now? Validation or what?
    Thanks

This is my pet peeve, dirty bathrooms. I can almost always tell the quality of a casino by their bathrooms. There are exceptions to the rule though. There have been a few hole in walls that were very clean and after a good club night even the nicest of places can get messy. Vegas Club just doesnt do it for me anymore. There was a time when i played there 4/5 times/week. That time is long gone.

I don't think they've cleaned the bathrooms since the 80's....and they were pretty dirty back then..

I'm surprised that they allowed you to take their picture like that. I tried to take a picture of one of the girls dancing on stage and she called security on me. Luckily I just ducked outside and walked away but after a minute or two I saw a bunch of security guys looking for me in the crowd.
