Sorry running behind on my trip report.. Getting to Vegas Day after Christmas boarded our flight out of Cleveland headed over to Chicago (ORD) for a short layover and then on to Vegas. No issues and arrived in Vegas right on time. Went to baggage claim to look for our Limo driver (Hotel32 supplied), and could not find him/her. Ended up having to wait on our luggage for a few minutes and still no Limo driver. Called Hotel32 concierge as my host was off on that day. They apologized and said someone would be at the airport shortly. After hanging up with the concierge the limo driver called and said he would be at the airport in 6 minutes, he was coming from Bellagio. I said to myself no way he can make it in 6 minutes, we were to meet him at level 1. Went to level on and around the corner (I think on two wheels) our limo arrived. The driver was very apologetic, and said sorry multiple times. No issue as we did not have to wait that long. This is the first time this has happened so it was a minor hiccup. Arrived at Monte Carlo, up to Hotel32 to check in and received our Loft Suite and everything was in order. Settled in and went down to the casino to smoke a cigarette and noticed the Gingerbread house they had in the lobby: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8b0u3fn9rvprq6m/2013-12-26%2018.27.21.jpg Restaurants Sirio - After reading some of the review of this place I was quite surprised how good the food was. I started off with the Little Neck Clams which were very good. Then I had a Market Greens Salad which also was very good, loved the White Balsamic dressing. For my main dish I had the Grilled Swordfish Puttanesca which was outstanding. My partner had the Market Greens Salad, and the Spaghetti Cacio E Pepe for his main dish. CIRCO - This is one of our favorite restaurants and was disappointed when we heard they will be closing soon. We both started out with a Insalata Mista salad, my partner had the PICI TOSCANI which is thick hand rolled spaghetti noodle with a bolognese sauce, and aged pecorino cheese. This is the same dish he gets every time, as he states it is very delicious. I had the GNOCCHI AL PESTO GRATINATI - potato gnocchi with creamy basil pesto genovese gratin, parmigiano reggiano. If you like basil this is the dish for you. We had a very nice table right in front of the windows so we could see fountain show multiple times during our dining experience. Brand - In the past I was not a fan of this steakhouse but I found a dish here that I love, so we had dinner here again. We started out with the Hot Rocks which is always a favorite of ours. My partner had the Big Wedge salad which is also very good. For my main dish I had the Brooklyn Filet, which is a 12 oz, bone in Filet, this is one of my favorite steaks in Vegas and is the reason I return to Brand each trip. My partner had the Penne pasta as he is not a big beef person, this is what he gets each time and again he stated it was very good. I would recommend trying the Brooklyn Filet, the other steaks I'm not crazy about but this one is good. Diablos - We started out with Chips and Salsa, I had the Chicken Fajitas which I found to be very good. My partner had the Bean and Cheese Burrito. He said it was also very good. For a quick bite to eat this is a good place for lunch. Gaming Most of you already know that I'm a big fan of Blackjack. This trip I did very well, however one of my favorite dealers was dealing 3 card poker again this trip so I played some 3 card poker. I have grown fond of 3 card poker even though I know it is one of the worst games in the casino. I however limit my losses and have fun playing. I hit a couple straights and one straight flush this time and ended up about $700 ahead on 3 card poker this trip. My time this trip was focused on Blackjack but I did play some slots, craps; below are some pictures of my slot play, one hand pay was achieved this trip: https://www.dropbox.com/s/taqgm0sjzhauivp/2013-12-27%2012.07.54.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/epw9spz122kjfbr/2013-12-27%2012.07.58.jpg The pictures above is my hand pay I just bumped this machine up to $6 a spin and hit a Top Dollar bonus and ended up with a hand pay for $1320.00. https://www.dropbox.com/s/t1es3qn2zu58rrm/2013-12-27%2012.25.08.jpg The above picture is a decent hit I had on the same day as I had the hand pay. I hit the hand pay and went around the other side of the bank of machines and within 10 minutes I hit this. On the 27th I had a good run at the Blackjack table, with allot of splits and double downs. The below picture is after about 1 hour at the table, playing $25 a hand and spreading to about $75 per hand. https://www.dropbox.com/s/pjattzjksx50wqm/2013-12-30%2014.28.29.jpg The next picture is another good run at Blackjack, I think I was at the table for about 2 hours, the stack of chips on the left ($1K to $100) chips are in stacks of $1K so in this picture I had about $8,800, I was spreading my bets from $75 to $500 at times with no pressure. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rraac86bq57c9c0/2014-01-03%2016.46.53.jpg This next picture was after a good run at Craps, I didn't play much craps this time but after about 2 hours, I was getting board so I cashed out and ended up with close to $7K. https://www.dropbox.com/s/u6ailoao7xsjj2c/2014-01-04%2011.45.41.jpg Finishing Thoughts Overall had a blast on this trip and ended up for the trip having to wire home money as I didn't want to carry it home with me. We were supposed to leave on January 5th but found out that our flight that connected in Chicago to Cleveland was going to be cancelled. So we left the airport called our host and she put us up for another 3 days. Stuck in Vegas was a terrible thing we ended up getting back home on January 8th. Can't wait to go back on March 21st.
