I want to book a room at the Golden Nugget but I have a couple of questions before I do so.

1.) I just purchased my Landry's Club Card but haven't received it through the mail yet. Do I need to wait before I can book my room and mention that I am a member to get the possible upgrade?

2.) Is it possible to take advantage of the possible upgrade suite +VIP check in (regarding the Landry's Card) and the promo of 10% off current rates and the $50 gift card at check in? I know technically the Landry's upgrade should not be combined with any other offers or deals, but I'm wondering if anyone thinks or knows if its possible?

3.) If I book a Rush Tower Deluxe room and I sucessfully get the upgrade via the landry's select club, what would I most likely be upraded to?

    Thanks for any information!

I stayed at GN in Dec and was able to get an upgrade with the Landry card. They did not want to since I had reserved thru a travel website, but after talking to supervisor, they did upgrade me. I reserved a Carson and was upgraded to the Gold Tower. They told me to ensure I get an upgrade, you need to reserve at 800-634-3454. They also said that if you reserve at that number, it is a guaranteed best rate and if you find it lower - you get that rate plus 10% off. I have not tried it but I plan to.

I'll be out there March 5th for 5 nights but not at the GN. I'm giving El Cortez Cabana suites a try.

    Enjoy

I have a similar question as I recently booked a Rush tower room (promotion comes with a $50 Landry's card).

Similar to OP's question what would a Landry's upgrade be from a Rush tower room.

Also wondering if it would make sense to get the "normal" Landry's card as well? Wondering if I could use it along with the $50 that comes with the room?

I called and made my reservation from May 20th to the 22nd (Mon - Wed). I mentioned the promo code and was given the 10% off rate and told I would receive my Giftcard upon check in. I also mentioned I have the landry's gold select club card and she mentioned that I would be entitled to the VIP check in and upgrade if available. She mentioned that the upgrade would be to the Rush tower jr corner suite if available.

I am not really expecting the upgrade because when I mentioned my date of check in, she asked if I was part of some convention that was taking place at the hotel.

Does anyone know when the earliest time, or maybe best time to try to check in would be? We are set to arrive in vegas at 7 AM (cheapest flight I could get) and I want to maximize my chance of getting the upgrade by being first in line to check in but would also hate to annoy the front desk by showing up way too early.

Last Sept we checked out of a Strip hotel at 11am, rode the bus to the back of GN, walked to the desk and they gave us our room with not a bit of question. So I'd go to the desk and ask in any case. If not, they will gladly hold your bag at the bell desk until later.

Thanks for that info - it may be worth a try for me to get the Landry's card beforehand.

For us, it's always been hit or miss. At other places, we've been able to check in at 9am, but also we've been denied at 1 or 2pm too.
