I am taking my wife to Vegas on labor day weekend. All of our previous trips were during weekdays with the exception of my first Vegas trip, which was on NYE. I am wondering how crowd will it be in Vegas during that weekend. We will be staying at Bellagio and it seems Bellagio lobby is always filled with many many people and many people walk through the casino, will that weekend make it even worse? Are the tables going to be full and minimums high? I will be playing Blackjack and hoping to just play heads up with the dealer. Would it be hard to find an empty table at all time or will I need to play at an odd hour in order to avoid the crowd? I remember NYE was awful, labor day weekend should be much better than NYE, right?

I'm not sure what types of crowds Labor Day weekend brings to Vegas, but I'll be staying at Bellagio, too!

I haven't been to Vegas on Labor Day for a while, but I don't remember the crowds being that much larger than normal. We will be there too - although not actually checking into the Bellagio until Tuesday - I booked that week specifically because I've heard the week after labor day is pretty quiet.

We'll be there from the Thursday before until the Monday a week after and I'm hoping there will be bigger crowds the weekend of, then it will die down starting that Tuesday after for the rest of the trip. Not a huge deal for us either way, but that would be ideal in my mind.

I go every year Labor Day weekend, its not that much more crowded than normal. Maybe a 10-20 percent bump at most. I am talking crowded in feel, I dont know actual numbers, I have never felt uncomfortable or wished I would have waited for a non holiday weekend. The pools are a ton of fun and I really enjoy that time of year!

If you stay till the following thursday NFL Football season kicks off and that is always a blast.

Any holiday weekend will be busier than normal and especially busier than weekdays. I think expecting to find empty tables with low minimums at the B is asking a lot on any weekend let alone a holiday. Maybe in the mornings when most people are sleeping or passed out but not in the afternoons or evenings. there's also the UFC fights that weekend at MB which will add to the crowds.

Wow, the last four posters and I are all gonna be in Vegas at the same time lol. And we're all staying at different hotels on the Strip! Just an interesting observation.

I will be there for 10 days including the Labor Day weekend and staying at VDara. I have been there several times over both Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends and it is not that bad at all. Definitely not nearly the crowd insanity that going over the New Year's holiday would bring.

Of course, since kids are starting to head back to school around Labor Day, it does get a whole lot quieter after the holiday weekend is done, which suits me just fine.

You can add me to the list of people going on Labor Day weekend. My husband and I are entertaining my father in law for 5 days starting on the 30th. We are staying at the Rio to try to avoid some of the crowds. So far the plan is to see Tony Bennett and Matt Goss. Also dinner at Circo, Lawry's Prime Rib, Sterling Brunch, Dim Sum at Ping Pang Pong. Hope to get some pool time in.

This is exactly what I was hoping to hear for our trip. Decent crowds over the weekend (busy but not crazy), then have it quiet down a bit for the following week or so. I actually enjoy big crowds in the casinos and walking around (makes me feel more alive when a lot of people are around on vacation), but I don't enjoy fighting for chairs by the pools and the high limits that usually come along with those crowds, so I wanted a mix of both for our trip. Taking 20 minutes to find two chairs near the pools sucks, but so does heading out to a popular club and finding out it's dead inside. I'm hoping I planned the timing of the trip well.
