In the weeks leading up to a Vegas trip I tend to ramp up my practice for blackjack, roulette and craps via electronic means on my tablet or smartphone. There are so many more easy, and free, apps available as opposed to the computer software versions of casino games we had to rely upon for many years. I guess it has become a part of my pre-trip ritual now much like watching Vegas movies and shows has become. As superstitious as many degenerates are, I try not to attach my results to expectations for the trip. If I win big or lose big while practicing, it's just that...practice to keep the juices flowing and the skills sharp. As we all know, past performance is no guarantee of future results, right? I guess it's not just me. myVegas and Wizard of Odds are very popular sites. I'm just wondering if many of you behave similarly.

I generally practice basic strategy for blackjack a couple days before my trip.... I have an app on my phone that is great for this - you don't even have to play the hand out, it just tells you if the move you made was the correct one... by the time the trip arrives I have it all memorized...

    Hey Now!
I've played 30k hands of assorted VP games on Video Poker Wizard at work in the past 2 weeks. No better way to practice the various Deuces games.

I practice VP on my IPad almost every evening, and last night I got a natural Royal playing Dueces...of course I hope that doesn't mean I've "used up" my 1 outta every 40,000 hands (give or take) since my trip starts on the 18th! I know that number is just a long time average, but still, I was hoping NOT to get a Royal while practicing, haha, so I'd have a better chance of getting it during the trip. Superstitious I guess.

I'll play pai gow poker and sometimes craps on Bovada, not sure why. I like to think it's to become accustomed to the swings again, but I'm sure they're far from realistic.

Most of the Blackjack apps I have come across have crappy algorithims which makes it's difficult to see your progress, but I agree that there are a few that tell you whether you made the right play or not. After all of this time, I still have trouble with pairs and soft numbers.

The Craps app has helped me in exploring new strategies and I developed my current strategy off of an app.
