    Hello,

I'm new to this board. I've been to LV many times starting in 1986 (when The Mirage was being put together). We still like to go at least once a year and we usually stay at the strip.

Some of my observations about Vegas since my first few trips.

    - Youngsters seem to be getting more obnoxious. Or perhaps it could be that I'm pushing 50 now but I don't recall acting like a jerk all up and down the strip in the 80's.

    - Food is much more expensive. I recall the Caesar's Palace dinner buffet costing around $12.99. At the time it was the swankiest place around. Boy, do I sound old or what?

    - Too many parents bringing their kids. Leave them at home folks!

    - Showgirls are fading away and it's a sad thing.

    - Vegas has been trying to get fancier for years now. It's been a hit and miss proposition.

    Thats it for now.

    Thanks,
    DT

    - Youngsters seem to be getting more obnoxious. Or perhaps it could be that I'm pushing 50 now but I don't recall acting like a jerk all up and down the strip in the 80's. Same here and believe its an age thing. If I look back there is a very good chance I was probably like them too.

    - Food is much more expensive. I recall the Caesar's Palace dinner buffet costing around $12.99. At the time it was the swankiest place around. Boy, do I sound old or what? Since we only been going to Vegas the past 10 years can't really comment on that.

    - Too many parents bringing their kids. Leave them at home folks!I agree.

    - Showgirls are fading away and it's a sad thing.I agree. Wouldn't mind seeing lots more boobies on the strip.

    - Vegas has been trying to get fancier for years now. It's been a hit and miss proposition. True. Vegas is ever changing. Some for the good and some for the bad.
