What are the best things to do on the 4th in Vegas? If fireworks, where are the best places to watch them from? Any suggestions is appreciated.

We were there for July 4th a couple years ago. Seemed like any other day in Vegas. No fireworks or special celebrations on the strip, that we noticed. Maybe more away from the strip though.

I can say the same thing. We were there two years ago. No special things going on the strip. Did see some fireworks when we went up to our room at the Flamingo. It was a tad bit disappointing.

We stayed at Mandalay Bay one year for the 4th and they had a concert on the beach followed by a private fireworks show. It was really cool and one of my favorite ways to spend the 4th and watch fireworks. My wife loves to watch them but when at home I hate to trek down to the local city park (or heaven forbid downtown) and fight the crowds, take the shuttle bus, etc. Mandalay was perfect because it really wasn't that crowded, you could stand or sit in the water if you wanted, and when it was done you just walk back to your room or to the casino and play. I think I saw they have something similar this year as well. I've seen another concert since then at MB beach and it was just as awesome. Highly recommend!
