    What is happening July 29th weekend? The rates for the MGM Grand Skyrocket that weekend.

    Could just be a fluke. I checked the calendars; no big conventions then (there are a couple starting Sunday, but that shouldn't affect the whole weekend), no big events, and most other resorts look to be priced about as usual.

    Yeah it is really weird. Oh well. I found a good deal at the Tropicana. It is pretty much like staying at the MGM thanks to the close proximity.
