    Hello Everyone,

Heading to Vegas July 19-22 with 6 other buddies...going to play some poker, blackjack, and craps. Absolutely can't wait.

A couple of them are staying at the Aria, but that's too rich for my blood. I'm wondering if it's better to go ahead and book something now, or wait until just b4 and try and find a last minute deal? I'll be driving in so I'll have a car.

Good to be here and I'm rapidly reading through all the posts...

Welcome! I suggest you book something ASAP, as your dates are just a couple weeks away and then religiously check and see if you can do better. Down that way are NY/NY, Monte Carlo, Luxor and Tropicana that might be more in your price range.

Welcome. Good luck and definitely book as soon as you can.
Don't forget to check the section which lists different deals on hotels.

Thanks much for the advice...I'm thinking I'd like to stay downtown for 2 nights (Friday-Sat), then on the strip for Sunday night. My goal is $100 for all 3 nights...lol. Just need somewhere to hold my clothes. ;p

Try some travel sites for decent hotel prices. Lately I have had decent luck with iforvegas and vegasdirect. Hope you have a great time!

Welcome aboard! If you are serious about your $100 budget for all 3 nights that might be hard to do, especially over a weekend. Im not saying it isn't possible, but you better get to checking and let us know if you have any success with that.

    Good luck !

So far so good with my $100 budget...I've got El Cortez tower room booked for Friday and Saturday night for $70 total. Finding a room for Sunday night for less than $30 should be a piece of cake. ;) More $ for the tables.

Welcome to the board. Your trip is coming up fast. Have a fine time. Which joint did you select for the last night?

Hey GVJ, I had the Luxor booked for $60 all in, but I saw that the price dropped again today so I canceled the rez. I'm going to coast for another couple days and see what shakes out...it doesn't appear to be a very busy weekend at all so I'm hoping to get a smokin' strip rate for Sunday night.
