Anyone know anything about the Julius tower? Just a refurbished tower? Worth looking at? I always stay in either a palace tower petite suite or Augustus (now "premium room") tower premium view room(both of which I love) I'm going in March and had a choice of those 2 rooms or a forum tower classic Royal suite comped..as of now, I booked the Royal suite. Has anyone stayed in that type of room? What's it like? How is it compared to the other 2 rooms? I've been by the forum elevators, but that's it. What's everyone's opinion of that tower? I.e. Location, rooms etc...thanks a lot for any info!!

Julius tower is not open yet I think, so tough to get reviews.

It is a redo of the old Roman Tower. Thus it is most likely that they will be smaller rooms than the new towers, but that the finishes will be very nice to make up for it.

Never tried the suites so I can't comment on that part.

If you like wide open spaces, I'd go with Augustus. But I personally like suites because I have an easier time sleeping (close the bedroom door to be even further isolated from the hallway noise). So I think this comes down to whether you want a big ol' studio apartment (Augustus) or a one bedroom pad (Julius).

When I was at CP at the end of Nov, they said the Julius rooms would be the size of the Octavius Rooms. I think the negative is Shower only. I'm sure it will be very nice shower, maybe like the Nobu rooms, but I love, love, love the jetted bathtubs at CP. The Augustus Tower has the largest standard room (called premium) at 750 ft2

Location should be good. It's in the Palace casino near convention center. Not a bad walk to the front door or to the pool.

Unless they knocked out a shitload of walls, the Julius Tower is just an updating of the Roman Tower, and the standard room is about 360 SF. The rooms will be a lot nicer, but not bigger.

Thanks for the info..I should've realized that it's an update of the Roman tower...pass....any opinions on the forum tower? Like I mentioned, I always stay in palace or Augustus towers, but got a comp classic Royal suite in the forum tower. It's 1100sq. Just was curious if folks liked the forum location. Based on pictures, the suite in the forum looks a step down from a regular Augustus strip view room, but it's huge and I kinda like the idea of getting compd a suite(even a lower level one!). Ugh these problems and difficult decisions in life I have! Lol!

Being in the Forum Tower has a slight advantage in location compared to Augustus or Octavius. The elevator lobby is right off the section of the casino known as the Forum Casino.

But it's still about the same distance from the main tables games area, and the main entrance.

I've looked at the Forum Royal Suite several times but never booked it. It's a nice big room, but I don't think it's been updated too recently, and so it's going to be kind of drab compared to a regular Augustus or Octavius room. And the price is always too high, even with a partial comp discount. Caesars has fewer suites than a lot of the newer hotels, so they can still get high prices for them even though they're not as nice as say, a suite at Aria, or Venetian/Palazzo.

That said, I like a lot of room, so if my choice was either a Forum Royal Suite or a regular Augustus/Octavius room, I'd take the suite.

In my opinion, the Augustus Rooms are much nicer than the Forum Suite. On my last stay, my Augustus 2 bed room was not available at check in, so I checked into the Forum Suite, larger yes, but very old and outdated. I moved next morning to Augustus and was much happier.

Also, only hearsay, but when I asked about Julius upgrade rooms, they were moving walls and said the rooms would be similar in size to Octavius which are 650 ft2 compared to Augustus which are a little larger than the Octavius rooms. The Julius rooms they said had shower only.

Dont hold me to it, but this is what I was told by Caesar's Rep during my last stay on 11/30
