Jetblue adds $25 first checked bag fee, 3 tier pricing, less leg room

    This was all over the news today, but in case you didn't see it...

    You have to buy a blue-plus tier flight to get a checked bag, the blue tiered flight (the lowest priced tier) charges $25 per checked bag.

    Less legroom as they're adding 15 seats to the 150 seat A320s. This will take a year or two to fully implement. Average leg room drops from 34.7 inches to 33.1 inches (probably even less for regular class tickets instead of the Even More Legroom tickets).

    Sadly, I'll still fly JetBlue because they fly out of Long Beach, which is the greatest airport ever.

    at least they are giving more true blue points per $ on the higher tier flights, if booked online

    I would look for Southwest to do something in the next few months then. They may not go full on charging for all bags, but may still offer the first bag for free then charge for the second bag. :rolleyes2:

    Jet Blue have given in and will start baggage fee(s) to LAS starting in November. Now where does that leave you know who. The times they are a changing maybe not for the best. If flying book before November. Good luck
