Did any of my fellow degens get upset last night when no one on Jeopardy knew the answer to the picture of the Luxor??
Only one girl buzzed in and her guess was the Hard Rock cafe...
I thought that big shiny pyramid was more famous than that!

Didn't watch it last night. Unusual since I rarely miss an episode. And yes, hard to believe that none of the three knew it.

I have always had a feeling that Alex Trebek goes to Las Vegas and is a gambler. I say this because I recognize that brightening of his face whenever a gambling or Las Vegas question comes up. And if the contestant gets it wrong his small admonishment of, "oh no, it's... (whatever)" is just a bit more emphatic than normal.

    Funny you should mention "Jeopardy".
I started watching it again, last week --
I hadn't watched it in years.
Last week, ALL THE CONTESTANTS came away with ZERO money
    at the end.
Alex stated "The rules of Jeopardy.......all contestants are dismissed, all new contestants, tomorrow."
Never saw that happen before.................but I just started watching, again.

Maybe Alex, likes going to Nevada brothels ?

Well, when one thinks about it, it's likely those on Jeopardy are probably a studious and serious bunch. They probably aren't partiers and people likely to waste money (as they see it) on gambling and leisure travel. If they travel, it's going to be to places like historical sites in Europe or N. Africa (read: Egypt). And, they'll probably visit lots of museums while there. These just aren't the casino types.

Agree with Danamrak that age plays a big role in Jeopardy. Sometimes mag and I can run a category in which young contestants crap out. Other times, such as the other night in the pop music category, neither of us will know a single item.

Also, Vegas-centered people need to know that most of the rest of the world doesn't get Vegas at all- not any part of it.

We're generalizing and stereotyping just a tad here.
