Even though I bought my flight yesterday and now it is set in stone that I'm going for a weekend in October, my husband is going this weekend and I am totally jealous!!!

    Tell me that's ok.

Ugh, wish! We need a lot more money when we go together then when we go separately....he's going with my father for "boys time" and I'm going with my mom for "girls time". When we go separately we only take about a $1200 bankroll ($600 each for 2.5 days) but when we are together we usually use about $2200 for 3-4 days at least. We mostly gamble...but my mom and dad don't go as much so there is more sight seeing involved when we each go with one of them. It's also a way to get the Vegas fix in without breaking the bank.

He always wants to be the one to go "first". I let him this time because his birthday is on Wednesday :)

Look at it this way, when his trip is over you still have yours to look forward to. Also, I am out here now and the weather is overcast and some passing showers so the pool is out for now.

So other than you guys taking separate boys and gals trips which I get btw...
What's the difference between the two of you spending $2,200 all at once or $2,400 - 40 days apart?
I don't see the value in it. Especially if you have to pay for separate hotel rooms. I'm just curious.

no it's $600 each for the whole weekend...so $1200 total - ($600 at a time). Going separate saves about half of what we spend in one trip together. Sorry, should've been more clear.

Rooms are comped so that's not a factor.
