    My Trip Report

Sunday Jan 3- Left pittsburgh for vegas on southwest. Was a 4 hour trip on southwest. Had to sit with two strangers as there were no seats left for me and my fiance to sit together. I dont love flying so I wasnt so thrilled about that but it was a smooth flight at least.

Arrive in Vegas at about 12pm and get a shuttle to NY NY. Our room was a suite room with a jacuzzi tub and it was very nice and spacious. We take a nap for a while and head over to Hooters where we wanted to see Purple Reign. We get our tickets with some coupons and it is a very good price for two coupons. Head over to Mad Onion next to eat and wait til it is show time. I had the prime rib special for 9.99 and fiance had chicken and ribs for 9.99. Great food, tons of food, and great price would def go back to eat here. Purple Reign was a great and fun show. The prince tribute artist looked and sounded so much like prince. The band was great and it also featured Morris Day and the times. Would def go back to this show again.

    Monday Jan 4

Got tickets for Crazy Horse at MGM at half price tickets. Really enjoyed the show it was a classy topless show and was a lot different than the other topless shows I have seen in vegas. I liked all the costumes, music, and lights used in the show.

    Tues Jan 5

Got a coupon for two tickets for 99 dollars for Zumanity since we were staying at NY NY. Got second row seats on the side fo the stage. We were very close and able to see everything and they were great seats. I had seen the show once before up in the balcony and enjoyed a different view this time. Once again enjoyed the show and it is our favorite show in Vegas and we like this one the best out of all the cirque shows.

Got a whole pizza at the pizza shop at NY NY and it is really good pizza.

    Wed Jan 6

Went to see Big Elvis today for his three shows. We love his shows and again enjoyed him and glad to see he is getting to his goal wait. Enjoyed 5 dollar pitchers at bill's most of the day. Ate steak and eggs for 5.99 at bill's at night. Sat at bill's lounge for their karaoke which was entertaining you could say. They have a 5.99 special from 12 am -6am or 8am. Pretty good for the price

    Thurs Jan 7

Switched hotels today over to Excalibur. Hotel ok for the price nothing special about the room just a basic room. Went back to NY NY to Fine Nine Irishmen for their Happy Hour. THey have 4.00 dollar beers and 6 dollar apps. Enjoyed the beer and food and got a Coupon for no cover charge if we came back at night. We came back for the band that night and they were really great and enjoyed the music but did not enjoye the almost 8 dollar beers but we used our one free drink coupon from NY NY.

    Friday Jan 8

Did all the sight seeing things in vegas this day. Downtown and other free attractions. Ate at the cheesecake factory at Caesars for dinner. Had tickets to see Viva Elvis at the Aria. I really enjoyed the show it had a lot of dancing in it and some acrobats. It was a very nice theater. THe images of Elvis in the background were very nice during the show and the band members playing the music were great. At the end of the show they rolled out a big cake and people sang happy b-day since it was elvis' b-day this day. After the show Went over to a bar at the Venetian to meet a friend who came in for the AVN convention and hung around porn stars for a while feeling uncomfortable and crowded. Left there and went over to bill's for some 5 dollar pitchers.

    Sat Jan 9

Did some shopping this day. Went to one of the outlet malls. Walked around strip again for most of the night sightseeing through most of the hotels. Ate at the mirage carnegie deli. Wasnt impressed by this place and the prices were high would not go back.

    Sun Jan 10

Walked over and around Luxor and Madalay Bay. Walked through Chris Angel Believe store. He was on vacation so the show was dark my fiance really wanted to see it but I wasnt so sure about it. It does look quit creepy and interesting from the program I looked at. Ended up at House of Blues for Happy hour. Dollar beers and half off apps. Decided to return that night to listen to a blues band in the resturant. Enjoyed the food at dinner and the band was good.

    Monday Jan 11

Switch Hotels again and this time we take a cab over to Imperial Palace. We have a luv tub room. We have stayed in this type of room before and really enjoyed it. Huge tub and that really comes in handy at the end of the night for a sore body and feet when you are walking all day. We went to get our marriage license this day and find a tux rental place. Went downtown again and shopping at bonaza gift shop while we had the bus pass. Also went to Slots of Fun, Riveria, and Circus Circus while down that way. Ate some footlong hot dogs at Slots of Fun then took the bus back down to Bill's were we watched a band for most of the night.

    Tuesday Jan 12

Woke up late as we usually did most of the trip from staying out most of the night. We headed down to Bill's to watch Big Elvis again. He was great again as usual. After the show we went to the Venetian and walked around. I really like this hotel maybe the most. It is really pretty inside and outside. We ate at the Grand Lux here. My dish was ok and the fiance really liked his. My desert was really good tho. Got strawberry shortcake.

    Wed Jan 13

Woke up headed over to harrah's for The Mac King show. We had free tickets with a drink purchase. The show was awesome. He was very funny and his tricks were very cool. He asked a few people to come on stage to do tricks. I would def go to this show again. They take your pic before the show so you can buy after but we said no thanks but It would have been fun to have because Mac King is actually in the pic after they print it out but oh well. After the show we headed over to bills to get some 99 cent New Castles and drinks. Big Elvis was sick today so sat at the bar and listened to Chuck Rawlings sing who is very good as well. We decided to go eat at the Rio buffet due to having a coupon. Took the free shuttle from harrah's the buffet not crowded at all ( we went back to the rio on saturday and it was totally packed so i bet weekdays are the best to go). Buffet was very good. They had awesome prime rib and tons of different food. I got a noodle soup they make for you fresh, tacos, italian food, and great asain foods, and sushi. Went over to the Gold Coast to go bowling after the buffet. Which was hard on such a full stomach but fun.

    Thursday Jan 14

Woke up and went over to bill's hoping to catch Big Elvis for the last time this trip since we would be busy friday and he doesnt play on sat. He was there and we were happy. Watched all of his shows and I made a special request to his helper chuck. I asked if elvis could play Cant help fallin in love and dedicate it to use because we were getting married tomorrow. My fiance was very surpised and happy since he loves Big Elvis. After Big elvis we got tickets for Love from half price tickets. I enjoyed the show. It was neat and the music was great. I enjoyed it but I dont think I would go back again espically with the price. I guess i had heard so much hype about it that I was a little let down. It was a good show tho.

    Friday Jan 15

Wedding Day!! I woke up and showered and went to get my hair done at the imperial salon. THe lady was very nice and did a nice job. I was sort of mad after when they gave me the bill and stated they add a 18% to any bridal service. I had no idea they did this and I had just tipped the stylist cash because I did not think they would add on a tip to the bill. I felt i couldnt ask for the tip back and I didnt complian to the manager because I was in a hurry so oh well. We walked through the casino which was a little embarassing in our wedding gear and in the elevator someone asked us if we were getting married and I said yes we had just met last night which made them laugh (been together 8 years). We got in the limo and headed to the Graceland wedding chapel. It was a very nice chapel and everyone was very nice. PIcked the Evlis package. Elvis walked me down the aisle and it was all great fun even tho we were both nervous because we are both shy. After the wedding we headed back to the room to change and then off to the Steakhouse at Circus Circus. Been here before and really enjoy it. I got the Bone in Prime rib. It was huge and melted in my mouth. Husband got the Porthouse and that was great too.

Last day in vegas : ( We decided to do a lot this day and just stay up all night because we were leaving for the airport at 6 am. We went and bought some last minute souvenirs. We went back tot he rio to watch the show in the sky. THis has changed a lot and was more of a sexy dance show now. It was entertaining still tho. After this we went and ate at the pizza place at circus circus. THey had great pizza. We had tickets to see Bite at the strat. Have seen this show before and even tho it was cheezy like it and they ahve great rock music during it. Went up to the top of the strat after show. Love it up and there took some good pics. We rode on x-scream which was scary as hell. After that we went down to a bar which had great speciality drinks for 2-1. Went back to the hotel and packed after that.

    Sun Jan 17

Left for airport at 6 am. Tired as hell. Didnt get to sit together on the plane again. Flight was bumpy and sucked. Attempted to sleep some of the time but was so uncomfortable due to feeling very squished in my seat and the woman snoring next to me the entire time.

We had a great time in vegas for two weeks did a ton of stuff, saw a bunch of shows, enjoyed our wedding, ate at great places, and we didnt even do everything we wanted. Hope to get back there next Jan!

I liked the imperial palace luv tub room the best. I have pics of both rooms if anyone would want to see them if they are considering either of those suites
