    My Trip Report

We flew out of Atlanta on America West at 7:00 AM, on time. This was the second day of increased security and had no problems. We did see a couple of National Guardsmen walking around in the terminal. Had a few bumps but otherwise a terrific flight. Landed a little early. Retreived luggage and went to Budget shuttle to get our rental car. Allen at Budget was rude and a smart aleck. Went to car and my husband checked under the hood. Oil was very low and no water in the reservoir. Waited to have them take care of this. We had another couple with us and the night befor we all watched the Travel channel and it said if you went to Vacation Village within four hours of landing you could spin for airline rebate. Found Vacation Village. Closed!!
It was still only 10:00 but we headed to the Golden Nugget anyway. We told to wait an hour and we could check in. Went to Carson Street Cafe and had a very good lunch. (It was 1:30 at home). Checked in and were given rooms on 17th floor. Very nice as always. Spotless and very comfortable. HIT the CASINO!! We are already 24 Karat Club members. Played slots and won some - lost more. Had fun. Hung around Fremont Street the rest of the day. Second day we drove over to Main Street Station for breakfast. Had one Bloody Mary too much (time wise)and missed breafast but hung aound for lunch. Wonderful buffet. We drove downtown and landed at the Stratosphere . Everywhere we played at all we either joined the slot club or were already members. Played some slots. Again, won some lost more. Saw Viva Las Vegas in the afternoon. Great show. Paid $6 each for a very funny, entertaining show. Played more lots and ended up at Roxy's Diner. Fun, 50's atmosphere, good food and we really enjoyed the singing, dancing wait staff. We will go back. Tuesday we rode out to Red Rock Canyon. Beautiful scenery and well worth the $5 per car fee. We kept going out Charleston and went to the Western Town. Walked around, saw the petting zoo but did not go to the gunfight. It was relaxing. We are all 50 plus adults but can act like kids often so we had a good time!! We made our way back to Vegas. Wednesday we rode out to Primm and played their for a few hours. No big wins or losses. Came back to the Nugget and ended up going the the MGM Grand for out free buffets( Wagerworks) for a very good dinner. Thursday we went to Texas Sation for breakfast (not as good as last year) but we got our Hats and really like the coinless slot payoffs. Came back to the Nugget and I won $700 on the Wheel of Fortune with the last $20 I had with me. (The rest was in the safe). Friday am my husband was the lucky one. The buffet at the Nugget (comped) Friday eve was great. Boiled shrimp, crab claws, etc. We flew home at midnight and crashed the rest of the weekend. Had a wonderful time!!!!!!!!!!
