Like you, I went my first time in 1965. My wife and I stayed at the Sahara. Talk about change over those years!

Because we only go to Vegas once a year (if that), the excitement is always there, sort of like a 6-year-old's anticipation on Christmas Eve. While flying home from our most recent trip (Oct. 2013), we wrote out a Vegas `to do' list on a napkin. Those are the things we always do and things we'd like to do on our next trip this Oct. Can't wait.

Yep, after dozens of trips to Vegas I still get that great feeling of anticipation. I always ask for a window seat on the left side of the airplane, when flying from the east coast, to get that awesome view of Vegas at night. :peace:

I didn't start going to Vegas until I was 30...almost exactly four years ago my girlfriend arrived and from the second we walked out onto the strip we were in awe and already planning on the next trip.

We ended up going January, March, April and May of 2010.

I have since taken four solo/guy trips and have two more booked for this year so far.

I agree totally on the sentiment that the ever-changing characteristics of the city are what keep it fresh. That and the fact there is simply so much to do while coupled with the old stomping grounds makes it like no other.
