I actuall won some money playing craps. By my estimates I am still in the hole a couple hundred but I finally managed a significant win.

On my last trip, my brother and I both managed to buy into a hot $3 dollar table at Casino Royal for $30 bucks each. When it was all over I walked with $270 and he had $170 (we both played the pass with some odds, then place the six and 8 and I would ocassionally place a come with odds). There were 3-4 guys that all had really good rolls hitting number after number. The energy at a craps table when you are winning is probably unmatched in the casino. I can honestly say this was the first time I have genuinely had fun playing craps and also the first time I have made any money back. I'll definately try craps again but the amount of money you have to put at risk to make any money just seems to make me too nervous to enjoy the wins.

    Take care,

That is a prime example of a confidence builder. The next time you walk into a casino the craps table will be calling and become irresistible, you'll see.

I'm glad you ended up positive $$.

i can say that you did well, because you walked away with your winnings.

i've seen most people stay with their winnings, only to lose it again, and then adding more buy-in.

Good going on having the nerve to capitalize on a good roll. You're absolutely correct, there is nothing in a casino that matches the euphoria of a great run of the dice at the craps table. Besides, it's fun watching the suits sweat it out...

last time I bought in for $40, I walked away with $139 (tipped the dealers $4). It was immediately after very hot roll finally produced a seven. Yet, I was the only one to color up, and while at the cashier, saw piles of chips being taken back by the dealers as the dice instantly went cold. Glad to have walked away when I did. :peace:
