I have a trip report (TR) ready to share but I'm having issues doing so. The TR is written in MS Word with about 15-20 pics. When I go to cut/paste, the pics aren't embedded in the post. I thought you could cut/paste... If not, can anyone assist?

    Thanks,
    Charlie

You have to host the pictures elsewhere and link to them.

If you have something like a PhotoBucket account, upload the pictures there.

Paste the text of your report into a post and click the little [IMG] button.

(See, I added that image by using the URL of the image...)

Paste the link to your picture.

Do yourself a favor and only post a page or 2 at a time to avoid wasting a lot of time on something that blows up in the end.

for pics you have two choices. You can add them to your post by adding them to this site uploading them with "manage attachments" below in 'additional options'. Or you can host them yourself online using Photobucket, or Picasaweb style online albums then use the URL with the [IMG] button in the post dialogue box.

If you're not too computer savy, use option #1 and just upload them as part of your post. But cutting and pasting just the pic will not work like it does for text.

Unfortunately, this version of the software doesn't have an easy way to add pictures in the middle of your posts. (the new board version does!!!)

I can help you with your pictures if you would like to PM me. But usually people host them on a place like flickr or photobucket and then link to them in their TR.
