absolutely not! That was the FIRST in Bill Harrah's empire...i wouldn't be surprised if it was actually in some sort of family "trust" to never be sold...

Don't know about Harrah's Reno but... MGM just sold Circus Circus Reno and the rest of their stake in Silver Legacy to the Eldorado Resorts in the last day or 2.. maybe this is what the rumor was.....

VAPA - I'd say that just about every mid-tier or lower property in Caesers control is for sale (including Planet Hollywood and Paris). They're going to need to raise some working cash - quickly - to satisfy the lenders that are fighting the bankruptcy.

I've even read that the entire Horseshoe brand could be sold. That would really stink for me because of my proximity to the Horseshoe Hammond (just outside of Chicago) where I play enough to get loaded with Vegas and Reno comps.

Although regarding Reno, I am sure that once Eldorado combines all players cards that I'd be getting comped at Circus Circus. I am a Gold level at Eldorado and if Harrahs closes or is sold, most of my play would cross the street. Because each of my trips involves the National Bowling Stadium, I can't see myself staying at the Grand Sierra, Peppermill or Atlantis.

But a sale of the property doesn't mean that Caesars won't still be the operator of the casino. Rock Gaming already owns Horseshoe Cleveland, Cincinnati, Baltimore(partial) and Thistle Downs Racino and I have not heard of them leaving CET as managers of the casinos.
