Never been, but they air lots of radio commercials here in WI, for golf in Michigan.

    Right up your alley, Joe!:poke:

Yeah, Grand Rapids is nice. There are some nice shops and restaurants. But, it's not even on the lakefront. I wouldn't plan a visit unless I was going to be nearby anyways. If you live within a hundred miles of it, then by all means, go checkit out someday.

Spot on! I spent a few weeks in Grand Rapids last autumn for work. It is a nice city and they had a great art festival going on at the time which was fun to visit. However, unless you live close enough to make a little weekend trip out of it, I would not go out of my way for anything there.

It is in Michigan, however it is on the west side. The west side of the state is not one really pictures when thinking of Michigan. No auto plants, few run down areas, lots of B&Bs. Many call it Chicago's back yard. The western shoreline is a nice place to spend a couple of days in the summer, from New Buffalo all the way to Sleeping Bear Dune.

That being said, it is one of the last places to go in the winter, snowfall can approach Buffalo levels due to the Lake.
