Spending a fortune on the strip ,but Rio seems to be going downhill,at least the last time we were there.I always loved that hotel, esp the location ,the rooms seemed to just need a renovation.

This is the only discussion I've seen on it

It appears they are slowly going through and freshening up the rooms, but no big plans for it.

I think CET would love to dump the RIO at this stage if there was a buyer (who didn't insist on the WSOP as part of the sale). Off strip properties really aren't their bag.

I agree, they would love to sell it as it's the odd hotel in the family location.

I think this casino needed a refresher more than the IP. Rio just seems dilapidated. And are there a lot of hookers in that place or what???

That club on the weekend really attracts some people

that cause trouble at times, but I'm sure it's a big moneymaker so it's probably going to be there. For us it's a good base of operations, with a rental car you can hop on and off the interstate easily and can grab the shuttle to the strip.
