    Good Evening/Morning All,

My name is Andy and I just joined this board. I am going to Las Vegas in July for the first time in 8 years-last trip June 2006. I have the air all set, but still having issues with hotel.

I am 45 and I work as a salesman in the industrial plastics business.

I am looking forward to getting to know you and learning more how about the greatest city in the world.

Thanks for the offer. I will be in town from July 5 until July 11. A friend of mine got 5 free nights at Bally's. Airfare was crazy but if I left Saturday evening from BWI on Southwest, I got a great deal. However, the key was finding a Saturday night room during a holiday weekend. My fiends and I (per my suggestion) were thinking the Golden Gate on Fremont. However, now they are booked. Plus I keep looking for a place the other days and I am finding decent rates, but then HUGE "resort fees".

Do you have any suggestions for something on Fremont or off strip (maybe near a car rental place) that is decent with smaller resort fees? I was looking at the Gold Coast.

    Andy

    Welcome aboard!
Not sure on where to stay, others here are more up to speed or post in other threads.
If you gamble in your hotel's casino, be sure to get a host.
While you should not play for comps, any play will warrant things based on all factors considered by that host. If you don't ask, you don't receive, typically.
e.g.: Resort fees taken off, rooms or food taken off bill etc.
    Enjoy!

Hi Andy, welcome to the board.

Did you try posting your question about a Saturday night stay in one of the other forums? I would suggest you try one or both of the Hotel & Casino forums. Not everyone looks at the introduce yourself thread but if you put something in your title like "Need Saturday night stay" or something to that effect I'm sure you will get your question out to more people. Good luck, hopefully someone will have an answer for you.
