I'll have the good fortune to be travelling through Dubuque Iowa next weekend, and plan to stop at a casino for a couple of hours. Can any of you Iowa natives give me any advice on which casino to visit and/which to avoid?

Anyone have any info on craps conditions? Max free odds?

    Thanks in advance!

Both Diamond Jo (only a couple of years old, has a 30-lane bowling alley attached) and Mystique (the greyhound track with a full casino) are very nice. I've never had a negative experience in either.

Mystique has a poker room where I fell hard when my pre-flop all-in AA was cracked by a flopped set of Kings. Diamond Jo has no poker.

And both have a TON of my money...:grrr:

Both have collected a good amount of money from me. I think Diamond Jo is the nicer of the two. Craps is at least 10X odds.
