sure, it's about the same ingredients, but it'll never taste the same because of so many different factors.

you know, just looking at this has got me really want a 3x3 right now. I'm thinking that I may actually have the Rolls go through the drive through at In-N-Out on the way from the airport next week. but that's just because I'm starving right now, I still probably won't ...

Of course, you could try it and be pleasantly surprised.

Why do people shut themselves off from trying new things? :(

oh, I've tried recipes like this before trying to recreate some restaurant dish. it's not that it's necessarily bad, it's just not the same. my favorite burger to make at home is Bobby Flay's crunch burger.

Make sure you take a pic of the rolls in the drive through!

eh, I probably still won't make it this trip, I never do. the issue is my wife can't eat anything there, so I have to really go out of my way to get there. my only hope for making it there is maybe stopping there after golf tomorrow. that has a chance at actually happening if I remember.

Also ask them if they happen to have any Grey Poupon.

Is your wife vegetarian? If so, they do offer a grilled cheese (although they charge you for the price of a cheeseburger) and it's surprisingly tasty. I sometimes order it just because I'm craving it and I have them add lots of grilled onions and chopped peppers.

the grilled cheese animal style is her favorite, but now she's gluten free. she's had the protein, but doesn't really like it that much because she never really liked the burger in the first place.

Interesting that at least one of the Las Vegas In & Out's have little packages of jalapeno peppers that you can get. I think it was the Sahara location I saw that at but can't recall if they're hidden out with other condiments or behind the counter. But I was surprised to see that jalapeno peppers were available at In & Out..Maybe the grey poupon is behind the counter..
