Why were they going in reverse?
I hoped you would post my favorite of the holiday season so far
ad for Volvo's dynamic steering control, they have another one using a mouse running in a wheel attached to a truck's steering wheel
appears to be a pretty cool feature in the realm of heavy duty trucking
It is much harder to drive a semi truck in reverse than forwards so it makes the benefits more obvious. Think of reversing a trailer with your car and multiply it by 100 times.
I LOVE that commercial... I'm told there's no "trickery", it's pretty much straight-up, except there is some kind of harness in case he fell... understandable.
There was no trickery apart from the safety lines they edited out.
Okay, yes, that does make sense. In my youth, I worked on a loading/receiving dock and marveled at how those guys could back up those giant rigs. Thanks.
You're welcome, but it's second hand knowledge. My mate drives a semi truck and saw it and explained it to me. My knowledge of trucking isn't that great lol.
