I searched quite a bit, and couldn't find any reports of anyone patronizing the Imperial Spa.

It's a Korean bathhouse. Sounds suspicious, but looks rather nice in its pics. It also has an online 50% off deal for simple admission to the saunas.

My girlfriend wants to enjoy a spa treatment she can't easily find in the midwest. She says a Korean spa will do skin treatments that are a little more thorough than other establishments. (Sounds more abrasive.)

I can't believe nobody here has enjoyed the amenities at Imperial Spa. http://www.theimperialspa.com/aboutus.php

Who doesn't want to spend time in a "red clay ball sauna room?"

FYI: It's $20 to access the saunas. It's open 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily, but open 24 hours a day on the weekends. Need some time in the jade sauna at 3 a.m. Saturday morning. It costs you $30 after 11:30 p.m. (that doesn't sound shady at all.)

Despite the odd 24-hr. weekends, most online reviews I have read made it sound like a good value.

Check out Groupons...they have a deal for the IP Spa at the present time or at least did as they come and go pretty fast.

All I know is a buddy of mine went into an "oriental bathhouse" several years ago and after a table shower he was looking forward to a massage and started telling the girl what kinda of massage he wanted. She looked at him kinda funny and in a very heavy accent said "dis a whore house!" :evillaugh

Thanks, that tells me nothing about Imperial Spa. Anyone else have a story about a "rub and tug" massage visit that has nothing to do with Imperial Spa?

As for Groupon, yes, that's the 50% off discount I noted, but it's for just the basic sauna access, which a lot of people seem to like. It doesn't appear it applies toward a package, however, and $70 or more in services result in "free" admission to the spa/sauna.

Lots of reviews on Yelp, and most of them very satisfied customers. I'm like most, skeptical of online review sites, but there are enough good, meaningful reviews that it sounds like a place worth visiting.

Did you hear about the time I got sick from Korean barbecue in Vegas?

OUch, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that your section of the forum was different than all the others and strictly limited to answering your question and devoid of humor, I'll try to remember that.

we all our guilty of going off topic. it's my fault for wanting responses to my inquiry. i should know better, and i should make a point of sharpening my comedic skills.

but big picture: no harm, no foul. i need to be more tolerant of irrelevant "humorous" replies, and perhaps start adding to the levity.

Its ok, I understand when you really want a question answered. I just couldn't resist and was actually shocked that a question about a "Korean Bathouse" especially in Vegas was as serious one and NOT about a rub-n-tug place. I really didn't think any of them were legit untill I heard you describe all the services.

good point... i was a bit skeptical about the concept when my girlfriend raised it as well. calling anything a bathhouse in the u.s. probably casts suspicion upon the business in the minds of many.

    Enjoying the banter

    Clown -

My wife and I utilized the Imperial Spa a few years back. Got tell ya - it would be the only reason I might stay there again.

The spa at IP/Quad is a hidden gem on the Strip. We had a 50 minute long side by side massage for $150.00. It is not a big spa. The ammenites were nice: sauna, steam room, whirl pool, robes, sandals, bottled water, fruit, big TV in the guy's lounge area and the shower room was stocked with all the stuff one would need to leave smelling and looking good. The staff was polite, professional and pleasant. Based on our experience - I'd recommend it to you.

    later, GVJ

it appears you're talking about the wrong place. i'm talking about a business off Sahara Ave., not affiliated with the Quad or any other casino.
