Can anyone tell me which tower the arrows are pointing to, and also if that is the area under construction?
    Hopefully the picture shows

I'm not too sure about the names of the tower, but I think most of the construction that directly affects Imperial Palace is happening around the entrance. With the Linq construction location being directly south of the tower in question, I would imagine the noise to be quite loud there.

I will be staying at IP in late OCT. I have the IP web cam (more on that in a minute), but once they tear down the O'Shea's parking structure, they will use the land between Flamingo and IP as the new walkway from the Strip all the way back (east) to the new Ferris wheel (i know it will be called Linq but not until it's done. I don't know what the arrows point to, but that's where the Linq Live web cam comes in handy......however, anyone know how to get the camera pointed to it's original link? For the last few days i can't get the camera out of the CP parking lot. I've tried everything, the camera moves but stays in the parking lot. Help!!

The Linq web cam is back up. Looks like they have more angles than before.

What is the link to the web cam? Staying at IP in Oct and wondering how things were looking around there.

Click on Live Cam at the top. Very fascinating if you run the time lapse where it has 3 snaps of each day since start.

I wish they would hurry up and tear down the parking garage. That space will be used to, according to pics, show the width and length of the new IP/Linq (between IP and Flamingo). Come on guys, i know it's 160 degrees in the shade, but can you hurry it up a little......when OCT comes i want to see something that resembles a Ferris Wheel......LOL.

They imploded O'sheas parking garage back on the first of May. The shell/framing you see beside The IP is the gutted O'sheas building, which, the last that I heard, was going to be reused in the new construction.

OK thanks. So looking at the pictures, the front of the IP as well as the shell from O'Sheas will be all new, and the actual Hotel (IP), will be part of LINQ. It just looks so narrow (between O'Shea's and Flamingo), that's why i thought the whole area between IP and Flamingo would be incorporated. It looks like the Hotel will be fine.......with remodeling and a new name.

Am alone in this, or does anyone else agree with me that the giant Ferris wheel looks to be just about the most boring way to spend your time in Las Vegas imaginable?

And "outdoor shopping and dining?" Really? As if any of us would opt spend more than 10 seconds outside in Las Vegas during most months of the year without bursting into flame.

But, I'm usually wrong about these sorts of things.

After all, it's Ceasars' money and their entitled to do what the want with their property without any input from me.

And to further prove that I'm entirely out of the mainstream:

People play 6:5 blackjack in Vegas all the time.

People stand in line to pay $400.00 or more for a bottle of liquor at Las Vegas nightclubs.

Gucci, Versace, and the like keep opening up ever more stores in ever more shopping malls, even though every time I stroll through one of them I could fire a cannon and not hit anybody.

I'm sure that the crush of people eager to ride the Linq will, once again, prove to be a rebuke to my powers of prediction.

At least it's a better location than that empty lot at south end of strip! Link might at least get walk-in, impulse traffic . I t wouldn't be something I would go out if way to visit but probably will since it is there.

I think it will probably be a big hit. People love to be outside
at night in Vegas... think Carnival Court and Freemont Street.
Walkways from Carnival Court at Harrahs thru New IP and from Flamingo. Directly across the street from Caesars. Plus it is a lot more than just the High Roller. A whole city block filled with over 20 restaurants and bars.
I'm looking forward to checking it out.

And i believe some of the former O'Shea's people will be in the new Linq. I think i read somewhere that an "O'Shea's" type of place (without the gambling) will be incorporated. I think the "Little Man" named Lucky? is already on board.
