I'd heard it was going to happen ... and was just able to catch it on CBS.

GREAT performance, and Fremont East (and the El Cortez) got some awesome exposure!

Very well done .. and Fremont and the El Cortez deservedly got their due.

    Kudos.

Check out the Backstage Bar and La Comida's twitter feed for some pics of the stage setup.

Guess I'll have to avoid that area for a while now that it's....Radioactive.

    (sorry)

I saw the show - hanging at Hennessey's nearby until it started. I'm tall enough to see over the six foot fence they had around the perimeter. They played just one song and it went by fast. Workers started pulling things down immediately when the band left the stage. It was a hell of a lot of work and money for what it was.

I was staying at the ElCo, so while I wasn't on the guest list to get inside the perimeter, I did stand right outside the fence, at the ElCo entrance at the corner of 6th and Fremont. Got there a few minutes before they started. What a colossal waste of time and money to build all that, shut off vehicle traffic, snarl pedestrian traffic to a standstill for days, for one song.

Granted, as a 55-year old guy who likes staying at the ElCo because I have actually heard Miles Davis and John Coltrane over the in-house music system while playing video poker, I'm not their prime demographic...

Saw the commercial with the concert footage for Target. Interesting that they would do that much work for maybe a 5 min spot during the Grammys. Liked the song though.
