I am dying to know what kind of machine you were on at the Cromwell!
    Thanks for the great report!

No, not all are dark. If memory serves correct I believe many of the pre-merger United planes are the ones without the entertainment on them or with with old flip down TVs above the seats. They have been installing WiFi but it doesn't seem to work well or at all. I used to love Continental because they all had DirecTV. United has brought that airline down big time.

But you're right -- for free tickets and with pretty much everyone having their own form of entertainment you cannot beat that. I am a reader so I'd have my nose in a book for the entire time.

The returning flights are always funny because everyone seems to have that zombie look about them. Its like you share a glance with your seatmate and nod knowingly and just say "Vegas, man"

Hi, Bonnie! From the pics I have recently posted, badly:thumbsdown:... I need to learn how to do it better...it looks like a multi-denom Blaze of Glory. I often pick machines with a star theme, as I won a $2500 jackpot, again from a $20 start, at Caesars about ten years ago:thumbsup:. My biggest win to date.

Thanks for the reply, Rocky. I loved Continental too. I am also a huge reader, and read all the way out. Forgot to get a book for the way home, and thankfully, for the first time ever, I slept almost the whole way.

I am guessing you read the same thread I did about the horrible bell desk service. I am thinking that, since I gave my bags up at valet, that I did not run into that. I also think maybe someone has done some training, as everyone was super nice and attentive, without being pandering.

I did hear from Hunter, and he is going to handle our next trip. It was odd that we had not actually been "assigned" a host, even though we have been booking through the same lady for several years now. Hopefully, things will go smooth with him.:licklips:

It's sure nice to hear so much fun in a trip report.
It seems there are a lot of hosts off duty when members check out. Seems to be a consistent theme.

I was on a United flight from San Francisco to New York, and they had televisions behind every seat and I was able to watch movies and listen to music, Must have been one of their new planes.

I think they always keep a host in the Diamond check-in/out. Lucky for us!

The jump from the Strat was AMAZING! I didn't think I was going to be able to do it, once I got up there. I wanted them to push me. They wouldn't. I went off backwards...and laughed the whole way down!

Great tr. Looks like you had a great time.

Staying for a few nights at Paris next month. Would love a suite. My host is moving to New Orleans so will be getting a new host soon. Hopefully, don't get yours.

Good luck with your new host. Maybe you should get in touch with Hunter. He replied to my thread and we are now working with him.
