    Trips to Las Vegas:
    1
Hello again, Hello. (my best Neil Diamond impersonation)

I've been here in the past trying to hammer out trip details, and have received some excellent help in the process. I'm back once more to elicit more help from the Vegas professionals.

Lets spill out the trip details:

    When: Early October, Thurs-Mon
    Who: 4 guys, 2 Vegas first-timers, all in our mid-late 20's.
Where: Staying at the MGM Grand, 2 newly remodeled Queen rooms on the same floor.

I think I got a great rate at MGM, however, you think the $20 trick would get me an upgrade to two Exec. Queen Suites? Or am I better off just asking for a view? Could the queen suites possibly be on the same floor like they promised me the two regular rooms? Is this more likely if I check in early Thursday? (Our flight arrives around 10 a.m.) Would $20 work or since I have two rooms should I drop $40?

The overall idea of this was to be in a sports book and bet the games on an NFL Sunday/NCAA Saturday. Also to drink and unwind from our professional lives that we've been way too involved with. Any ideas for best places on this front would be great.

I was going to basically re-track what I did my first time in Vegas, but I was hoping for some other suggestions as well. Basically hitting a bunch of casinos, doing some gambling (although the majority of ours will be done in the sports book on Saturday and Sunday), doing Fremont for a half day, maybe the Stratosphere tower, etc. Could use a few other ideas here.

For the drinking aspect, we're not the typical club goer's, would probably prefer just a lively bar atmosphere, however, we probably will venture to a club or two since we're there for four nights. So could use some suggestions on this front as well.

The only plans I had so far consisted of:

    1) Lunch at Sushi Samba on Thurs. since our one friend arrives a little later and is basically a meat and potatoes eater.
    2) Weekend brunch and bottomless mimosas at Border Grill on Saturday.
    3) Steak dinners Thurs., Fri, and Sat.
    4) As stated previously, Fremont for like .5 of one day.
    5) As stated previously, a club or two one night/two nights.
    6) As stated previously, sports book on Sunday.
    7) See a show one night. Probably Absinthe, but I have to run that by the guys. I saw some comedy acts are in when we go, ie. Dane Cook and Tosh, but tickets are pricey to just see a guy tell the same old jokes.

Just looking for things to do in between the above that first timers will enjoy, besides casino/bar hopping.

Any help everyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Sports book Saturday for college?

Carrot Top is a good comedy show if you want that.

Late night pizza in the Cosmo. I always eat at noodles once while I am in Vegas.

See a bellagio fountain show, watch the volcano erupt.
