So I took a quick run last night to Harrah's Chester-------I mean Harrah's Philadelphia To pick up my Diamond rewards book. It's a neat thing we get out here that has like $600 in AC comps in it. I also had $80 in FP, so I figured I play it off and cash and dash.

I went in and wanted to run the freeplay through the double triple diamomd deluxe with cheese thing, I love it. But the one machine in the casino was occupied. Instead I went to the "21 Gambler" slot, which has a bonus feature where you try to draw 21. Well first spin and BAM, bonus time!!

In the bonus if you get an ACE and KING, you get the banked jackpot...well my first card was a 4. Then I get a 2, next I draw an Ace. Now I have a soft 17 which would pay 50 bucks. But the machine has a feature that if you get a 5 card charlie you get $250...so I go for it..next card...3!! Soft 20, cant lose, I am going to get the $250.....sweet. Run the rest of the FP and cash out $294.00 not bad at all.

Took a walk around the pit, thought about playing tiles, saw the game dead but saw the eerie blue glow from the table limit sign...the $50 glow. I was not in a $50 mood when I was planning to cash and dash for gas money. More on this later.

Hit the DL for dinner, drinks and a cigar, relax wonderfully then say....Let's play $100 downstairs..

Hit the Pai gow poker table, buy in for $300 [what happened to $100?] Two hands, within 7 minutes..$300 gone...shit

Buy another $600, upped my bets to two hands $125 each..... 500 gone in short order.

Walk over the same pai gow tiles table...where I had scoffed at the princely $50 minimum. (this is Freaking Chester damn it!) Buy in for $1000..... Shuffle please....all-in for the $1000 plus the other change, total of $1090 and $16 for dealers. After the requisite phone call to the eye in the sky and the pit manager dealer is ready to go.............relief dealer shows up right then, figure I'm jinxed.

1st hand, first tile I feel a yun (red 8).. combine with a ping (low ten) other two are gow (9) and mooy (high 10), so an 8-9... Not a bad hand.....push

2nd hand.. dealer shuffles for what feels like forever.. Dealer says "2nd attempt" Push all in again. I get a 6-7, dealer 6-9, but I have the yun again, push.

3rd hand..another long shuffle as the dealer knows he's being watched from behind and above. "3rd attempt" I get the yun again..with absoulte shit to go with it. end up with a 4, high 7. I figure I am toast....dealer gets 5-6, lucky push.

    Maybe I should leave.

4th hand, another eternal shuffle "4th attempt" says the dealer. I feel the first tile.. Day! (2), next tile Teen (12). I have the building blocks of a big hand, and most importantly tiles that the dealer usually needs to beat you. Next tile..gow (9) End up with high 7, wong. Feel pretty damn good. Dealer gets a 5-8 and I Hit it.. HOT DAMN!

Colored up and got the hell out of dodge!!!!

So there it was...I guess Natedog and shifter inspired that one.

I love it....I play the tiles sometimes and the pushes can sometimes make you doubt yourself....I'm glad you stuck with it....
