really what was i thinking ? i just booked 3 nights in tunica , was just there late dec
what can i say ? i like the place ! first trip was a good one hope this one is too.
this time it is 3 nights at Harrahs ...for 116.00 i just could not pass it up
    only 2 weeks to wait
you know as much as i love vegas , this place could almost take its place ..
    only 4 hrs away
more gambling money left after room and travel
well on second thought no it could not , but fun to go to when i cannot be in las vegas
now i have not been to harrahs and i read that the casino is 140,000 square feet , that is bigger than most in las vegas cannot wait to see this !
all other casinos were at least 200.00 for a sat- sun - mon deal i hope harrahs isnt too bad
i will be there 1/19 thru 1/22 if anyone else is gonna be there let me know

Went to Tunica for the first time early December and stayed at Harrahs.(The Veranda I think? where you take the shuttle to the casino)Really like the 'southern' feel of the place, the fireplaces and sitting in the lobby with a cup of coffee in the morning is something I just do not do in AC or Las Vegas.
The Video poker killed me though, just a terrible 3 day stretch, but my buddy had a great run there. The paytables are better than Las Vegas and way better than AC harrah's..If you play there is a bank of machines by the Dunkin Donughts that were good to him.
Room service was an unexpected surprise, not overly priced and same exact quality as LV/AC..There is no restaurant in the hotel, just a small coffee bar so you have to eat in the casino or order to your room.
A 4 hour drive sounds pretty good..I had to take 2 flights to Memphis, then the rental car bus and the drive to Harrah's..easier for me to go to Las Vegas, but it was a cool trip to see a new place. Have a great trip!!

I took a friend to Graceland several years ago over Thanksgiving and we ended up driving to Tunica 2X during our stay.
Harrah's was passing out free pies to random Slot Players. We ate at Paula Deen's Buffet and it was pretty good!
Usually for something different we go to Biloxi. I may have to go back to Tunica one of theses days.
