I was cleaning the office/pro shop yesterday evening, and it hit me that I have seven pairs of golf shoes, and that doesn't include the two NIB pairs I walked over to my neighbor (coaches the local h.s. girls' team and Special Olympics golf) and the two I just chucked in the bin. Call me Imelda.

And on a very positive note: it's Masters Week!!!!!!

How many pairs of shoes did you need to take that step?

Now, pardon me while I get these saltwater rods and reels cleaned and put away so I can get out the freshwater rods and reels.

What's your preferred brand Ken? I've always been a FootJoy, but I picked up some New Balance this year and really love them.

If you have any WideWidth 10's, I'd be glad to take them off your hands... ;)

I've been wearing TRUE Linkswear almost exclusively for the past three years or so. I'm a full convert to the cleatless, barefoot/minimal thing. When I wore cleats it was mostly ECCO. I also have adidas puremotions that I wear now and again, but they almost feel too structured. I got a pair of Nike Waverleys last week and wore them around Vegas and for one round at Shadow. Bit more cushion than the TRUEs but they seem to work well for me.

I made the switch to minimal after a bout of plantar fasciitis five years ago. I pretty much live in beach kicks, Nike Free athletic shoes and then my golf wear.

Same FootJoy pair for the last 10 years, but they are getting old. So Ken, if you have some 11s laying around you want to get rid of....

Tell you what, Joe. Meet me at the Lompoc Wine Ghetto and an untouched pair of ECCO cleats in Euro 44/45 are yours! White with black, very stylish.

I have ( all Footjoy ) one beat pair in my car trunk ( as back up ).
One beat pair in basement - to mow the lawn.
My last season pair next to my golf bag ---
And an un-opened brand new pair waiting for ( probably) this mid-season.

Read a news article in the paper about THE AMEN CORNER.
It was not named by Arnie Palmer....or any golfer.
Seems it was a longtime golf writer - who coined it -- the guy passed away in 2008 ?
He never wanted to take credit for coining the name !
    His last name began w/ a "W".......Will---- something ?
    Ken,
    What was his name ?

the TV does not do justice to just how far of a dogleg swing it is on 13. No wonder most players end up in the pine straw on that hole

You are not alone ken! We sell shoes on eBay and do quite well on guys just like you. :) Before you wrinkle your nose at used shoes on eBay, hubby refurbishes ours - even tho he cusses while pulling cleats! Anyway, I just wanted to mention it in case you wanted to add to your collection. :)

I'm at 2 pair; Some old Footjoy's and some orange Puma's to match my Cobra Amps. As much as I try took look like Fowler, I play nothing like him and as such my budget is mostly reserved for balls

Speaking of my bad game Ken, are you familiar with Cindy Miller (She was on the LPGA tour and I think her husband Allen was a pro too)? I'm currently taking lessons from her and she's a solid instructor.

Not ringing any bells. Finding an instructor who actually can instruct is so good. Lotsa folks out there have "teaching pro" on the card, but teaching is an art, whatever the discipline, and if you're abstract and the instructor is an impressionist ...

I'm glad it is going well.
