So I have my room booked for 2 nights in a Premier Fountain view room for about $215 a night which includes the tax and resort fee. I just checked my mlife offers and I have a fall offer for Bellagio that states rates start @ $125 a night and for $10 free play and a $25 resort credit -- nothing big. I really don't expect to get my room cheaper. The offer is through the Bellagio VIP services and I would have to call and give them the code. Has anyone had any luck in getting the same room you have booked but just taking advantage of the free play and resort credit. It only amounts to $35 so it is not a big deal. Was just wondering if it was worth the effort. The nights I have booked are a Sunday and Monday the 2nd week in December.

    Thanks

    Val

Yes, make the call. I had a three night comp room booked at Aria which included two free tix to Zarkana, resort credit but no Freeplay. When I got back this week from Alaska there was a flyer in the mail offering the same thing plus $175 free play. I called and they added the free play to my reservation. I think they just change the offer code.

So I made the call -- Dilemma -- I would have to rebook - I would not be guaranteed the same room. But the rate for that Sun and Monday is $89 a night -- wow. plus resort fee and tax will probably be $125 a night and I am paying about $215 a night for the Premier fountain view. So $90 a night savings plus another $35 for the free play and resort credit is $215 total savings. I guess I will check with my husband. She said I could request the same type of room I have but there is no guarantee. The cheap A$$ frugal side of me is so wanting to change. But if I change and lose my Fountain view room I might as well stay at the Luxor for the last 2 nights. What to do.

I would book the cheaper room from the offer and try a $20 tip at check in. In my experience that will get the best views

I just did the same thing, fought with myself for a couple days about the effort it would take for minimal gain, but decided I have the time in the day. Just ask to buy the upgrade at the desk, get there early in the day, likely to get the room upgrade much cheaper.

    My situation this close:
I had booked 2 nights for $274 total under a regular offer with $75 credit to the Monte Carlo Sports Restaurant "The Pub" over Superbowl weekend, so likely I would use the credit on that Sunday for the specific place
Offer was $180 with only $20 resort credit (good anywhere) and $25 free play. Bringing the price down by $50... Still gotta call and cancel the first one.

What I am really hoping is I find a good offer at Cosmo during Black Friday/Cyber Monday...!!

After talking to my husband I decided to keep the room I have booked. This is my first time staying at Bellagio and I want the fountain view room. If we stay there again I am sure I would change and take the promotion. It just means a lot to me this time to have that "special" room. I have already paid for one night and I have a $100 gift card to apply so I won't owe but about $100. I have several myvegas meals already set up - I get 4 rewards and so does my husband. I also cashed in some AMEX points and I have three $50 gift cards to use at Benihanas, Cheesecake Factory, and Strip Burger. So I am saving money already.

Guess its a good call, seems like you didn't want to give it up anyway. We did the fountain view-you'll enjoy it.
