The golden gate sent me an offer a while back for a suite for 4 weekday nights. It expires on 6/30. They've also sent me an offer for a regular room that runs through August. I am going on 7/9 so I called and asked if the suite offer could be extended, and I just wanted one weekday night. Nope, the suite offer expires on 6/30. I say okay, how much would it cost me to upgrade my regular room offer to a suite.

This seems to stun the players club so they say they have to transfer me to the front desk? I get transferred and they say they don't do upgrades like that, I have to pay full price. No casino rate? No.

Is it just me or has anyone else gotten a casino rate on a room upgrade there? I'd love to check out one of their suites, but I don't want to pay full price.

Call a host at GG and ask the same question and I think you might like their answer a little bit more ...

We were told the same information as you Drambler. There is no casino rate nor upgrade price on their suites. It's either comped or full price. This was confirmed by the host as well.

We booked a suite at GG at full price as we didn't have a host at the time (we were hoping to have charges knocked off in the morning). Before we arrived, we got a card from the host, so we rebooked through him and got it comped. If it's been offered for June, I'm pretty sure a call to the host would get you a suite in July.

This was about a year ago for what it's worth.

Thanks for the info. I may try and give a host a call after all. I only want one weekday night. I am mostly curious to see how the suites compare to the regular rooms. I will definitely give them the play while I am there. I really have a blast playing there.

I had the same experience, it's all or nothing with the suites. Not sure why but I'd guess it is because they have so few suites they try and save them for high play.

Yes, I think they only added between 12-16 suites when they upgraded the GG.
