My question is on accumulating chips in order to be able to continue playing.

I just found the game a couple of weeks ago, joined all the groups for free chip links (well over 100K that way).

I am level 44 w/ 38K LPs and have all current properties built less Aria/MGM/Mandalay as I am not a high enough level for those yet.

Without understanding the game I started out with 1K bets and got quite a bit of play (though blew through a good chunk of my stack of free link chips)... after having read numerous threads on the subject I settled in at 200/per on AB which is now all I do.

My querstion is, how do you guys build your chip BR and keep it healthy? Betting 200 on AB I have hit 20-30K a few times yet it still just drains my stack in fairly short order... I collect from properties a couple times each day and look for updated free chip links and such but still only sem to be able to get an hour or two of play out of my daily chips (sometimes less) before I am drained again. Many of my nights and weekends are spent working at my desk so it is easy for me to set free spins and check every now and again to reboot the cycle but my stack doesn't allow for as much play as I would like.

I understand I could play longer by lowering the wager to 60 or 100 but I can't see how that would help me build my stack of reds.

So COMPLETELY forgetting LP gain, do you have any tips on building your stack of reds? I hear of plenty of people who have millions of chips but aside from "I got lucky betting over my bankroll" I can't grasp how they build themselves up...

I bet 1k 25 auto spin on 80days . I"m level 126. If I do more than 1k or more than 25 auto spins I don't win that much. I think the games of course don't all play the same for every one. 80days is the one that has paid out for me so I am sticking to it. I've never been over 300k in chips but have cashed in for 2 nights at Mirage, minus 5 entry for two and 2 nights at Aria and have 72k LP left

I think just find a game/spin amount that works for you and go from there. Also have about 90 some "friends" I collect chips from and get a lot from

Thanks for the reply! Your scenario is pretty much what I am looking for... you've never been over 300K yet you have played a TON at 1K/per whereas yesterday I went from 50K to zero in three hours betting 200/per on birds (which seems to be the game of choice for most from what I've read).

Do you go bust or do you tend to win enough to continue playing?

Also how does collecting chips from friends work? It says "share chips" on every pop-up jackpot I hit so do they each get a percentage of that? I posted an "add me" on one of the facebook groups and had 25 people latch on but I've never gotten any notification of receiving chips from any of them...

I'm not going to Vegas until September so I have a TON of time to collect LPs, I am just trying to figure out the best way to go about it... gets a tad bit frustrating busting out after an hour when I could keep it rolling for hours on end since I am at the computer working anyways :)

Sometimes you win sometimes you lose. However, if you are ever "completely forgetting about gaining LP's", then you are missing the point - the game is about accumulating LP's to get free shit, not accumulating chips or XP's.

Find the level that gives you the best ratio of chips in to LP's out, and stick with it. After level 58, I've played Lucky Birds at 1000/pull almost exclusively. Even when my chip stack gets up there (like around 300k), I pretty much stick with LBs at 1000/pull because that gives me the best bang for the buck in terms of LPs. Once in a while I get bored with it and play a different game at a higher level for a bit (like the new Mirage game, or blackjack), but then I return to my senses and go back to LBs at 1000/pull.

I don't know, maybe you see entertainment value in actually playing the games. Not me - I find it very boring and a huge waste of time. I just want the freebies. I'll play enough to get some good free stuff on my next trip, but after that, I'll be done with it. If you get entertainment out of it, then buy some chips (that's what they really want you to do anyway).

It's like a lot of real machines. Sometimes they're hot, sometimes they're not. I'll set a limit to let it drop to. Once it hits that I'm done for a few hours.

    1)Hammer the free chip links
2)Find a game that doesn't drain you (for me its Excalibur @300, or @600 if I have over 600k chips) you will have to try several games.
3)hit your properties as often as you can
4)While it isn't optimal to blast away to level up, once you hit level 90 or 100 you get 1k Lps for each level up.
5)Pray for luck at the daily wheel.

I am currently at level 137 with 393k Lps and just over 600k in chips playing this way.

I'm definately not missing the point, my questions were in regards to playing in a way to continuously accumulate chips in order to keep the reels spinning.

Take today as an example... I got am home from my normal work day and am looking at 5 hours working at my desk between the time I got home and the time I go to bed. I plugged in LB at 200/per and the chips I gained through properties/friends, etc (around 25K) were gone in about 45 minutes playing for "optimal LPs" (I am under level 58). In other words, I am busted so the reels have stopped.

If I was playing some other way which was not "optimal" for LPs but was focused more on accumulating chips the reels would still be spinning and in the end I would have gained more LPs as the reels would be spinning for 5 hours instead of less than one. Much like yourself saying you only really play LB at 1000/per... if I played that way I would run through my daily stack in 2-10 minutes most days. Hope that clears it up a bit ;)

Maybe what I am asking for isn't possible, I have just gotten used to most experienced players saying their chip stack is regularly 300K, 600K, 1M+ etc so I thought maybe I was missing something.

How many chips would you say you accumulate on an average day? Between midnight and 5pm I made around 25K (wheel was a bust and I don't yet have Aria/MGM/MB). Does this sound about the norm or am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

I don’t think there’s a secret. Simply collect as many chips as you can and then bet them at optimal level on a game of your choosing. I’ve read so many comments from people about how this game is great or that game is terrible (and often it’s the same game!). If you believe you do better using the 25 auto-spin over the 100 then all the power to you but I believe all the games run just like a slot machine set to return 88-90%, you’ll have nice hits occasionally but any “trick” that produces consistent wins is an illusion and ultimately you’ll lose in the long run.

Also I don’t understand the point in setting a stop loss. I suppose if you believe it will “change your luck” or you’re “hot” at some time of day then go for it. My goal is to accumulate LPs so I accumulate as many chips as possible and then spin at optimal level until they’re all gone or occasionally I run out of time (exciting but rare). I’ve occasionally run 50k up to 250k and then back to 0. I don’t see a point in quitting while I’m ahead because I’m just going to do the same thing spinning tomorrow.

I’m at level 84 and around 143k in LPs (never paid a dime for reference) so there you have it somebody else who doesn’t have 300,000 in chips at all times.

So you are saying busting out is the norm, thanks that is exactly what I was looking for. All the people listing their 6-7 figure chip stacks when posting their level (92/200K/500K) was making me think of never ending stacks of chips and I wanted a piece ;)

sometimes I bust and other days I don't...depends on my daily spin. I collect from the strip a couple times a day..usually morning and then at night as I play.

Also, I have noted that when you hit about mid way in a level you will start to lose chips fast unitl after half way...happens to me every.single.time

I bust out maybe half the time. Sometimes I just don't play long enough to bust.

It's kinda fun though. When I have 0, I think of collecting chips from the hotels as me panhandling people on the strip with a cardboard sign and a kick me sign, only to blow everyone else's generosity on a few moments of glory.

    It's a living.

Level 70, ~135k LPs, currently panhandling for red chips.

Really for me it depends on the wheel. I have hit the 15k wedge (wheel wedges increase as levels go up) a few times so that has always helped.

For the most part I would say I collect anywhere from 15k-30k chips a day from strip properties (I have them all, so that helps), chip shares, and chip feed links.

I don't have a stop loss or anything like that, I have just gotten lucky a few times and between letting it run in the background at work, and playing after my kid has gone to bed when I get home, I just don't play and blast away.

I have a fairly significant LP goal in mind, over 500k, so my play is predicated more on long term grinding and keeping the reels spinning. Add to it I don't travel until July, I am ok with where I am at and how I play. Now if I could get my hands on my wife's FB account, that would change in a heartbeat.

There isn't really any secrets. It's random. Like any slot machine, you lose most, and win some haha.

I do 1000 a spin personally, the 200 is so slow it's ridiculous, unless you are on the beginning levels and have a very tiny chip stack. Also I find when you bet 200 you don't hardly win anything. 1000 you get bigger payouts. Besides I get far more coins from harvesting my strip, and the spin bonus than I do from play. So I want everything built, and every time you level up you get 1000 lps. You know how many spins it would take to gather 1000 lps!?

At 200/per on LB or 80 it takes 1100 spins (or 22 times autospin/50)

I am one of the few who do not subscribe to playing a set amount to accumulate the maximum LP's per spin. I do agree that when starting out a new player should bet the minimum amounts until all the hotel properties are built but only when the V's symbols are available. I usually bet 3000 or 4000 per spin. I look at the bigger payouts for betting higher as giving me more chips to play to earn more LP's even if at a lower rate of return per spin. I seldom, if ever run out of chips and maintain an average of over 1 million in my chip stack (for over 5 months). I have earned over 600,000 LPs playing as I do and I play every day for several hours. And, I enjoy playing rather than turning on Autospin just to earn LP's.

See this makes zero sense to me.

With an average chip stack of 1M and betting 4K/per you are putting out 1/250th of your average bank per spin yet you play for hours every day and never run out of chips. I don't see how that is maintainable unless you are buying chips or extraordinarilly lucky.

Since betting more does not give any type of advantage/multiplier that is like me betting 200/per with a 50K stack. My normal bet is 200, I have had 50K+ stacks many times and always go bust.

Not only that but one can recover most if not all of a 50K stack each day with spins, friends and properties but for a 1M average stack those things are only a fraction of your stack which means you must consistantly win to keep playing... so what game are you playing?
