    Trips to Las Vegas:

Hi all, this is my first post but I've been lurking reading the trip reports and learning about what to do, where to stay, what to eat and most importantly how to generally degen it up.

Well I arrive at our community oasis from the UK on 27th April which at the time of writing is 38 days away (not that I'm counting down). It won't be my first trip to Vegas, I came here for my honeymoon in 2000, where we stayed at the Stratosphere . We found it a little far from the main strip hotels, but being a honeymoon I wasn't there to degen it up  ...... much!

This time I'm travelling with the lads! I'm still married (it took some persuading I tell you, and I'm lucky I'm still married :)) but my wife has some serious reservations about me being in casinos 24/7, with booze on tap. However I was 40 last year and this is part of that milestone celebration.

I'm staying at the Aria, so a little closer to the action than my previous stay and a little classier (can I say that? Maybe newer then?).

I hope to write a report for your enjoyment and for my own recollection as I have been known to get into some tight spots while ON IT!

Thanks to all of you for the ideas and amazing anecdotes.

welcome to the board. I once made I trip to vegas without the wife...me and a buddy of mine went for a poker tourney so I knew we would be at the tables for most of the hours in the day. Loved that I didn't have to worry about anyone waiting on me to be done....missed her like crazy from the moment I got there, couldn't wait to get back home to her!

Hi Sam, I do believe we are travelling on the same flight then! I'm actually flying solo, my mates are travelling out the day after. I'll get a day by myself before it goes mental.

What a coincidence that we are on the same flight! I'm staying at the Aria for my first 3 nights, I'm on a solo trip ( my husband does not share my Vegas obsession but very kindly let's me go once a year lol)
